There were all sorts of snarky comments she could've made and picking one was hard. I do, however, believe Khri is mad because Piccolo stole her costume idea!

This drawing was a serious return to my roots. I haven't doodled either Princess Leia or Darth Vader in over thirty years, so I was surprised I remembered as much as I did! 90% of it was drawn from memory (I did have to get a reference for Vader's chest plate and belt) but Leia was easy. Vader's costume went through considerable revisions between 1977 and 1983 so die-hard purists might quibble about my accuracy. In '77 there was NO reference material -- no dolls, posters, pinups, photographs, internet -- and the only thing I had to work from was my memories of the film and the tiny snapshots in the paperback novel. It was a sad, sad thing. In this drawing I rendered them as I remembered them -- with much love and fondness.

I was going for a cel shaded look here and I'm not convinced I like it. There's more penwork involved and it gets tedious quickly. I was very happy with how it turned out overall, even though the background is just BLAH!
