While enjoying a summer's Saturday in the park, Rhonda takes this moment to ask Stuart a "loaded question," which is like Russian roulette, except that instead of only one bullet, all six chambers contain a bullet waiting to blow your brains out, metaphorically speaking. ::laughs:: Fine young folks...that makes me feel better already. The artwork I do keeps me young in a way. I've been hanging out with the Land of the Giants folks and I asked them a question the other day; did the giants ever have a name for their planet? Someone told me that it was "Polarus" in the original script. It blew me away when I thought of it - I was about seven when the show was out, and I'm just now learning this at 54. Half the show cast have passed away. Amazing how time gets behind us.
Anyway, we just had a great visit from one of my Futurama friends, the second one this year. Casa de Futurama is ready anytime you want to drop on by. The second visitor, BTW, was from the Santa Ana area, and had worked for the city of Newport Beach. He was moving to Orlando.

I'm glad I was able to cheer you up even more. However, when you informed me that half the cast of Land Of The Giants had passed on, I started to feel a bit older.

Oh, God yes...Fitzhugh was the first to go. Dan and the scientist went almost around the same time, a few years ago. The captain is 81 - he was two years younger than my late mother. They were filming that show in 1969 when I'd just started school.

Like I said earlier, the passing of these various TV and movie stars who were active during my childhood is really making me feel old. In 1969 I was finishing junior high school when Land Of The Giants had it's run. But, like you, I have my drawing talent as well as my skill in model making to keep the youthful part of me active.

With me it's almost like a mania - I've got to have some project of some kind going on.
