Description
With the coming of Spring comes warmer weather, clear blue skies and the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities which for Stuart Davenport means golf. But much to his chagrin, Peter Griffin (after much whining and begging and whinging and pleading) manages to wangle an invitation for he and his wife, Lois, to accompany Stu and his lady friend Rhonda Roykirk for an 18-hole round at Stuart's country club golf course. And, just as Stuart had feared, Peter manages to stall things at the start of playing the back nine with a "what if" question as Rhonda fumes and Lois expresses her exasperation. Wait... if it had already happened, why does he have to ask?

Peter is asking, should it happen again, improbable as that is, does it count as a hole-in-one. Thanks for your comment.

Oh, Peter, for crying out loud...
Also, it does: Hole-In-One means a) The club hits the ball in one hit and B) it lands on the hole after that one hit. The end justifies (or rather ignores) the means, in this case...

For Peter Griffin, that's exactly so.

True. It'd be like asking Albert Einstein to explain his theory of relativity to Peter. It'd be a total waste of time.

No, but Peter will. He must be denser than water... maybe he should try scuba diving. No need for any lead weight.

I get 'ya. Hopefully, I can come up with another Lois and Meg and Rhonda scuba scenario, soon.

Wonder how did I miss that...
Also, wonder if Lois and Meg went the same training the Bedrock girls did.

Will need to see them implementing said training, then.

If I get the right inspiration, I'll create a martial arts training scenario with Lois and Meg.

Thank you kindly. I often try for humor in my artwork. I'm just so happy that Peter and Lois' dialogue, as written by me, made you laugh good and hard. It's what I strive for. And I thought Lois venting her frustration at Peter in this way quite apropos. Plus, it was an opportunity to poke a little fun at golf. Thanks for your comment and the fave.

I may have to blast back with one. I did another doodle where Rhonda and Richy are getting ready to take Morgan to the beach, and they have to remind her to put work down and just enjoy life.

Well, it'll be very interesting to see our two favorite cartoon ladies and how they deal with a wet blanket like Morgan Proctor. Go for it, I say.

Well, here Peter is talking about something that occurred at the beginning of their golf game. I'm afraid the song "Surfin' Bird" by the Trashmen doesn't apply here. Thanks for your comment.

Really nice scene. I’ve always meant to ask if Rhonda is a devil dog or if she just wears the hat to honor a family member.

Thank you kindly. Rhonda is not a member of the Marine Corps, but she occasionally wears her beloved father's old fatigue cap in honor of his memory. Thanks for your comment.

Indeed. Although, at times, Rhonda can be a really "bad" girl, but all in fun of course.

It’s a given that she is sometimes/often time “bad”; she’s a redhead. No further explanation necessary. Cheers!

Ridiculous questions aside, I wouldn't even consider taking Peter on a game that requires both patience and math.
I continue to like your backgrounds.

I agree that Peter's "what if" question is quite ridiculous, but it's just that kind of question that he'd ask. And Stuart will definitely have his hands full trying to keep Rhonda from clobbering Peter with a 9-iron. Thanks for your comment and your admiration of my background, although I hope you liked the way I portrayed Stu, Rhonda and the Griffins.

I'd recommend a wood for Peter, but I'd worry more about Rhonda wearing golf shoes.
Your characters are good too. Pink and yellow must be this season's golf colours.

Oh yes, golf spikes can do some major physical damage, especially if the wearer happens to be a 3rd degree karate black belt and a 1st degree tae kwondo black belt. But Rhonda might also try to use a club as well. Hopefully, Stuart can keep the peace. And yes, pink and yellow for ladies are what's happening on the golf course.
