Description
The Metroid creatures Samus encounters on her first mission on Zebes. I only drew the most recognizable creatures, like the Geemers, Skees and Rippers. Like all of my creature drawings, I drew this one with colored pencils, I only did the black background with a marker. I tried to leave creatures you also see in Super Metroid out, because there's going to be a 'Creatures - SM' too. I only drew the "tube creatures" of Brinstar, Norfair and Kraid (Not Ridley), or else the whole pic would be stuffed with them. Download to see creatures in the back.Related content

Very cool assortment of Zebes creatures you got there!
While you're at it, you can improve on them by looking at animal anatomy to make them look better.
I love the use of vibrant colors on this too.

Thanks! Some creatures look very weird like that winged head with 1 red eye. You can't use animal anatomy with those creatures

There are creatures, mostly insects or crustaceans, that can help with one-eyed, wing- headed creatures like them.
I imagine those kind of Metroid creatures having an exoskeleton. It's body is like a pod with the eye encased in the top-front. The wings are modified claws with very thick membrane. The back feet have 2-clawed pincers for clinging onto the rocky cave ceiling of Brinstar.
For that odd anatomy, think of a one-eyed crab with modified front arms.

Yeah? I was never any good at the actual names they were given. I remember seeing something similar to them in the Pirate Frigate from Metroid Prime 1.

Don't you get a Concept Art Package for scanning all of the scan points? The orange ones included?

Yeh, the orange ones are creatures (Important for CAP) or hologram things to move on (Unimportant for CAP). And, all of those red Lores and Research are needed
I've scanned everything with MP, MPH, MP2 and MP3

I've only played through MP3 once, and personally, my Wii remote is so flawed, I really don't want to do it again until I know I'm not going to suddenly shoot the floor for aiming a hair to the left, due to the Wiimote's terrible velocity issues. :/ I wish I could've just played it with my trusty GCN controller.
