3rd born cub of the king
because the first born left the pride and Kiara became next in line for the throne, Kion becomes the leader of the Lion Guard (giving him teh full name Askari Kion)
since Scar exiled all males his and Simba's reign didn't have a guard, so Simba decides to inform Kion about his future role when he was still a cup
so Kion went and made a "Lion Guard" existing of not a single lion
after he leaves the Pridelands to become Rani's consort at the Tree of Life Vitani builds the real Lion Guard
Kion continues to tell stories about him as being the Fiercest and about the heroic things the guard did
he even states that the legends about a roar with mystical powers is true and passes this to Vitani
