OK SOI REALLY WANTED TO DRAW VAL WITH HER HAIR DOWN
SO LONG STORY SHORT I WAS LISTENING TO A SHIT TON OF PARAMORE AND P!ATD AND GOT THIS
YEAH
lots of wingin it in this, and im lovin it
the initial idea was to just do simple cell shadin like ya do but then it went in a COMPLETELY different direction from there
you can probably tell that this wasnt the initial plan cause i spent SO MANY HOURS doing the lineart in illustrator
the shading was done rather quickly too so it looks a little more scratchy than what i usually do but i think it works really well for this
except for that foot, im not happy with the shading on her foot there BUT I LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE SO IM GOOD

Ok so seeing how this was supposed to be a short project that turned into a much longer project I can honestly say it looks amazing especially since her hair is down and some of it is falling into her eye in that typical just don't care way. The shading is absolutely amazing with thoughtfully placed patches of light reflecting of certain areas that makes the character pop. This is extremely hard to do so most artist stick to just shading which means this just took the piece to a whole new level. The changing of her outfit to more of a rock one to go with songs from those groups is really amazing and well thought out. The fish nets on her hands are particularly a very well placed extra that the character normally doesn't wear adding to the effect of the overall piece reminding the onlookers that she's singing but not normal Phineas and Ferb type songs which is an amazing idea as their kids aren't exactly them. Ok personally I do have one thing that is bothering me; the thing bothering me is that the section of hair that's supposed to be brown looks like a mix between violet and brown.
Overall this piece turned out beautifully and was well worth the time spent.

Since someone's looking for a critique, well... I had to write this one.
Vision: I've seen some lights, looks more like a concert. The shading was very unique, it is like this character's standing out.
Originality: The character, and the artwork itself. Your style does look brilliant, all I could say. Especially the outfit.
Technique: The first step was sketch, then lineart. Then there's the color with shades and lights in it. I like how you did this one so nicely...
Impact: It feels like Val did stand out with her look, and the music, like Paramore. But I'd go with Sylvester's 1979 song "Stars", which should fit this artwork. But she does rock the show in so many ways.

the reason why i decided to work my butt off in illustrator for the lines was cause i wanted it to replicate the show style a lil more lol

The show's art style is like a combination of animaniacs and Disney, but with a little more disney. Your art style is... Something. Anime? I don't know but its good. I know I couldn't pull it off in my art style. That reminds me You could just re-animate a random episode from the show and use the original diologe like this one guy who re-animated Sailor Moon with a different art style literally in every scene. Just remind people its a fan made episode and that all the characters & diologe belongs to disney and the shows creator. And if all goes right Youtube, if you use that might pay you for the views and somebody might actually want you to work on another animation. Just like those dudes who made a animated fan version of this song called Ghost or something. Wow you're going places, good place. With or without my ideas.
