Description
The destruction was widespread, everywhere he looked the dead were swarming. It definitely was a plague, meant to wipe out them all, and although they were at war with the humes, it was not their style to sacrifice their own for a possible win. He was pretty sure this was a curse from within, Karmic punishment for the war. one that would consume all.Nailmus finally reached home, seeing that the destruction had reached there too he frantically searched for his son. He found him, laying dead on the ground surrounded by those he once called friends... He cried out and charged them...

This has been in my sketchbook for a good while now, and I finally put the finishing touches on it. ^^
It is a pic of the final moments of Nailmus and Cain... one of the reasons I dun want people to make avians is because they are ALL dead
And yes this is 100% traditional.

An amazing combination of grand storytelling of the terrifying moments of annihilation to the avian race, and i love the emotions told about the picture. The anger that Nalimus felt at the lost of his only son to the remnants of the disfigured monsters that ONCE was Avians, and the instincts Nailmus has to protect the body of Cain knowing he is dead and that he will die protecting his child. 
"To all of us life is game that changes in every moment you're alive, and to see death every moment in your life is the true knowlegde that we need comprehend to enjoy life to the fullest. I simply love your color transitions. What did you use to color?

To colour I start with basic copic flat colours with a little bit of shading, then I go over it with prisma colour pencils, then I smooth the prismas with more copics. then top it all off with some white gelpen ^^

I guess this will sound horribly cliche, but I do plan to make the stories into comics... first will be the human story thousands of years after the fall of the avians, and if that one does well then I might try a comic on the avians.
