I wouldn't worry too much on the gun details (adding more detail might end up cluttering the area), fundamentally, everyone recognised it as a gun pure and simple!
If you want to have a bit more fun with the image, move the gun up to where the hair details are and it will enforce the image further.

This has a lot of personality. I like the way the coloring was done, it's very unique compared to other black and white drawings.

Very nice Black and White style~ Very well put together, astheticly. There's a good sense of unity here, it really pulls your eye in. Which is not easy to accomplish with black and white. Good Job~
