Description
Little devil pony finally makes her debut!
I don't know why but I seem to like problemetic horses hehe

Race: Allowance Optional Claiming (not for claim)
Horse: Shining Sapphire

Shaun eyed the slender filly wearily.
"Does it have to be me?" he sulked and turned towards his mentor Rachel.
She had given him the almost impossible task of getting the new filly ready for her first race.
Whilst she was always at least a little temperamental, the bay seemed to be exceptionally difficult today.

With a swift kick to the left she hit one of her grooms and managed to take a nip at the other, before losing it altogether in a series of high pitched whinnies and grunts.
A passing jockey was just lucky enough to evade the filly's bared teeth and jumped to the side with a shrill "Get that thing away from me!".
Shaun sighed deeply. That thing was was his responsibility.
"Here you go she's ready" the groom said and quickly passed the reins to Shaun before hurrying off.
Shaun carefully took them and led the filly towards the track- all throughout trying not end up between her teeth.

Rachel squinted her eyes in an attempt to make out the pair from the grandstand. It didn't take long.
The filly had decided that she didn't feel like entering the starting gate today and protested by rearing and flailing her legs around.
One minute. Two minutes. Three minutes passed before she was finally inside- kicking at the gate with her back hooves.

"That horse needs to be trained properly" a voice muttered from behind Rachel.
Then another: "It shouldn't be raced at all if you ask me. It's just a danger to all".
Rachel tried to shrink down into her seat. She had often seen such horses and had thought exactly the same.
But this time it was her horse causing all the trouble. With a small sigh she turned back to the track and nervously waited for the gates to open.
