My rendition of a propoganda poster from v for vendetta. done entirely in photoshop aside from wings at bottom which were done in illustrator.Related content

Have you read the graphic novel?
In that, the graffiti is strength through purity purity through faith. I do not understand why they have changed it in movie.

There are actually a couple possible reasons for the change that I've thought about over the years. First, in the Graphic Novel purity refers to the use of eugenics as a social policy and means of conformity by the dictatorship. The change of purity to unity evokes a wider audience to recognize the connection between the government in V for Vendetta to that of the Nazi party of which it is a parody as well as a play off of George Orwell's 1984. Second, Its comparison to the Nazi party is more evident which let the (as I'm sure you noticed in the movie) the director remove many of the different agencies featured in the graphic novel to some extent yet still achieve the same toppled dictatorship effect. That would be my opinion on the change and it seems to make sense to me.
