There's been moments (biggest case in episode 101 of the original anime) where Doronjo seems to be attracted to Gan (Yatterman-1). And there's probably people shipping these two as well.Me personally? Absolutely no. Gan is already engaged with Ai-Chan (Yatterman-2), he does NOT want to be with Doronjo at all (again, all the proof in episode 101) and there's also the fact that he's a 13 year old while Doronjo is way older than him. In the 2008 reboot they made both Gan and Ai-Chan sound and feel more like teenagers, but even then I don't ship Gan with Doronjo, I genereally don't like shipping villains with heroes, "Foe Yay" isn't my thing.
That doesn't mean I can't have fun drawing stuff like this, tho
Yatterman belongs to Tatsunoko.

In fairness to Doronjo, I don't think she ever finds out Yatterman 1's age and he in no way looks or sounds like a 13 year old. There's a moment in the 2008 series, where she and her partners meet Gan and Ai in their civilian clothes and don't recognize them.

In the 2008 series they flashed out Gan and Ai a bit more, and updated them with more late teen vibes and interests than being kids like in the original.
In the original anime tho Gan was voiced by a woman to sound younger lol but in the italian dub (anime have been popular in Italy since the '70s) he was dubbed by some grown guy in his 30s, similar to the male voice he got in the 2008 anime, so I can give a pass to 2008 Doronjo (still voiced by the same actress in the original dub, major kudos for all three reprising their roles)

The Yatterman's age reminds me of Fred and the other teenagers of Scooby, given the Hanna-berra comparisons with Tatsunoko. You'd never guess Fred was 16 or Velma was 14. Good point about Gan's original voice actress, still I think on the royal revival OVA taking place when the Yatterman duo are married adults: Ai is curvier in her 20s, but Gan looks exactly the same!
Come to think of it, Gan being more developed in the modern series is similar to Fred as well!
There was an episode of the 2008 series where Doronjo dreamed she and Yatterman 1 were married. Tonzura also flirted with Ai in the 2008 series, but some episodes implied it was a technique to psych her out.
I remember reading about Time Bokan's popularity in Italy and watched clips of the dubs. I read the fans actually got the live action Yatterman movie dub.
It was really impressive how long the Time Bokan villain voice actor's did their roles!

Nah, they're more known in Italy and Europe because so many old school animes were distributed in the '70s and '80s.

It was probably never meant to be taken seriously and just to be seen as humorous. Β Other animΓ© series have done similar things where the bad girl has a thing for the hero and the hero is repulsed or scared for his life.

I've heard about this more than once. Particularly in the live action movie and subtly hinted in Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
But because of the sparing amount of available episodes and lack of subtitles, I never really got to see that myself.
