I do wonder if they're gonna put the Turtle and all that backstory about It in Part 2. Like, not vague nods, the real thing.Some things work better in a book... and even then they can't, when I told a friend of mine the nature behind Pennywise in the book, its origins and the cosmic Turtle, he honestly thought it was a load of goofy bullshit and kinda regretted asking me. Same reason he refuses to watch any Alien prequel. I guess the unknown is cooler because the "known" can be stupid and you're just stuck with it lol
Ah well, it'll all come down to execution if they'll decide to bring all the complex mythos from the book, or see if they'll come up with something else that works better in a movie. Until 2019, we'll just have shitposting fun.

I'd honestly prefer them leaving out the cosmic turtle. It's like how I prefer the movie version of Watchmen's ending, as opposed to the comic where the apocalypse is caused by Ozymandias teleporting a dead giant space-squid to Earth.

Even though I've never read the book nor seen any of the adaptations, I have heard of this whole deal, and all I can say about that is "What sort of drugs was Stephen King taking when he came up with THIS hodgepodge of insanity?"

As long as they avoid revealing It's true form to be a giant spider (which they are very likely to avoid), they should be fine. I don't mind them leaving this stuff out either - but IF they are to implement it, I'd prefer them keeping it relatively vague, and not literally make it a turtle but some form of mysterious entity which It came from.

I'd personally make it as Lovecraftian as possible, like It is a window to something bigger and incomprehensible for the human mind and we're just little things floating in a huge universe filled with bigger Its that can end our existence in an instant without any effort, but we're so little and insignificant to them that they don't care.
The heroes manage to defeat It, but they're not the same after learning what's really out there, and nobody believes them.
