2019 UPDATE: In retrospective, I honestly don't feel too proud of this. I guess that back in 2018 I wasn't let down so hard by someone I followed, and I didn't handle it well.
There's a lot of things that pissed me off probably just that much the next year, if not even more with WORSE stuff than what Patrick and Robobuddies did (I used to be a fan of MovieBob aaaaand... finding out his eugenics ramblings really ruined his image as a reviewer and as a person), and I don't feel compelled to make these super-angry rants, I did it back in the day because this made me feel literally sick, I was younger, and venting with my friends just wasn't enough to get it out of my system and get over it. Now I can stomach people showing their true shitty colors better.
... My god, if I saw MovieBob's twitter posts in 2018, I FEAR to imagine how I would've handled that. XP In comparison, Patrick Willems and Robo just had very bad takes, really, it's not nice, but it's not the end of the world or something as shitty and infortunate as MovieBob's awful political statements. I should've handled it better than venting like this. Oh well.
Look, the fact is that I got over this even if I'm still not a fan of these two anymore, and this will remain a time capsule and reminder to avoid repeating this in the future. I will not make these angry rants anymore, but I also hope other people will be better than these two idiots. Especially Robobuddies.

2021 UPDATE: Personally, I don't really care if I'm not a fan of Mr. Enter anymore because he completely lost his mind over the COVID pandemic, this happened YEARS before that, and the reason Robobuddies picked on him was absolutely wrong and unfair.
While I'm not proud of the excessive vitriol I spat in this rant, I still feel like she should've apologized, but she probably won't and never will by this point by taking advantage of "Ah well, it's OK to hate Enter now so it's all good!"
Bleh. I don't LOATHE Robobuddies anymore, I've mostly moved on from this, but it still leaves a bit of a bad taste. Ah well.

I don't care about Butch Hartman, Mundane Matt or other "trendy" things people love to tear to pieces in 2018 for "falling from grace".
But I liked Patrick (H) Willems and Robobuddies, they were two people I followed and looked up to for two years, and BOY did they fucking blow it.
They went from two likable and smart-looking people, to acting like fucking sickening shitheads I'd find in YouTube comment sections.

So what went wrong?

Dear Patrick turned out to be an arrogant, hypocritical imbecile with confirmation bias with his infamous video "SHUT UP ABOUT PLOT HOLES" where not only does he make arguments that contradict one and other and confuses plot holes with contrivances and other things (showing off ignorance on the matter) but he made some of the most PISS POOR arguments I've ever heard. And he isn't joking, this isn't Mister Plinkett or some over the top caricature persona he takes in his videos, this cringeworthy fool is 100% sincere.
He makes arguments against a straw man, he thinks people want movies to be 4 hours long and that every single thing has to be perfectly logical and explained onscreen.
And he repeated twice that "You are watching movies wrong" ...Fuck you, Pat.
People don't want movies to be 4 hours long, can you give me an example of a movie that is like that?
There are TONS of movies that tell great stories while having believable and consistent characters that interact in a world that follows its rules.
But no, he literally says that in The Last Jedi General Holdo HAD to be illogical and not tell Poe the plan because otherwise "there would be no drama and conflict" and that when characters act illogical or make stupid decisions it's just because "human beings are illogical"... In your case, that's 100% true, Pat.
If a character makes mistakes but it's because they're a hothead or tend to panic, that's fine. It's CONSISTENT with their personality.
That's all people want, consistency. Because when your story and characters break rules and just ignore rules or do something completely illogical and random, people's suspension of disbelief gets BROKEN. They'll stop caring and being immersed in the story.
There's a tons of movies that are able to make drama and conflict while at the same time sticking to rules and writing consistent characters that people can get behind and understand.
People behind The Last Jedi and A Quiet Place should've gone back to the writing room and make a better story and believable characters that don't make retarded decisions "coz otherwise derez no stori!"
I mean, what does he think of the Original Trilogy? Or of horror classics like The Exorcist, Dawn of the Dead, Alien, The Thing and Predator where the characters are well written, logical, consistent and so is their writing with the rules of the worlds it establishes? They're considered masterpieces for a reason. They're well fucking made and written.
Also, if logic is bad and isn't needed... what does Patrick think of crime and mystery movies? THIS SHIT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE!!! How can anyone with a functional brain agree with that video?

People like Patrick that go "Ah, humans are illogical, this character HAS to be stupid because otherwise there's no movie" are bad because we NEED to differentiate great filmmakers and writers from bad ones. Yes, you're free to be subjective and enjoy what you want, but you CAN'T ignore the problems and flaws in something!
Just because out there "there's a fan for everything", wouldn't you agree that the smart thing to do would be MOVING YOUR ASS AND PUT EFFORT in telling a story the BEST way with as little flaws as possible so that MOST PEOPLE will love and praise it?
There are filmmakers that DO give a shit about plotholes and consistent characters to respect the viewer's intelligence and make the best work they can, and when retards like Patrick go on saying "shitty stuff is good coz me subjective, SHUTTUP I DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE FLAWS!" they're mixing great storytellers with lazy untalented hacks like there's no difference between them.

Also, gotta love that while he makes the "being logical would be inhuman and make no conflict" point, Patrick shows Spock and the Vulcans... characters that are driven by logic AND YET STILL MANAGE TO CREATE CONFLICT and can still make mistakes and miscalculations.
If "acting logical" is bad and inhuman then... How come so many people love Spock and consider him one of the best characters of the franchise?
Why is he using THAT as an example when Spock utterly disproves his point that acting logical would make for a bad character/story?

I'm sorry, but it just kinda triggers me how Patrick used Spock as a strawman, when Spock utterly disproves his point, I personally believe that Patrick just didn't do his research... instead of INTENTIONALLY ignoring stuff up which would just piss me off more.

But nooo, go ahead and shove your head in your ass at the sight of critique, that's the way to go coz you're human and illogical.

Now onto Robobuddies.
I used to watch her videos a lot, they were informative about animation and techniques, they had a good sarcastic sense of humor and I liked her video about Steven Universe where she made a lot of fair and constructive criticism whilst being respectful to the show and the people, and she also introduced me to the shows Sym-Bionic Titan and Motorcity, I'm very appreciative for that and love when I find reviewers that make me discover cool stuff (James Rolfe introduced me to Dick Tracy and Phantom of the Paradise, they became two of my favorite movies)
Between the two, I'd say I looked up and loved Robobuddies more than Patrick... and what she did was arguably worse than Patrick's bullshit.

She bought Mr. Enter's book (which from what I understood is his passion project) to shit on it, wrote an awful review of it even though she didn't even read half of it (wow, it's as if that critic from Birdman came to life) and then went on to diffamate and hate Enter's guts because the story he wrote contained a scene that gave Robo PTSD of her childhood bullying.
Then she acted like Enter did it on purpose... and believes that he needs to apologize to her.
And when he came in and tried to understand what was going on, she treated him like utter shit going "What do you want? You're REACHING OUT FOR ME??" and kept on acting as if Enter was able to read into her mind and was supposed to know what he caused.

My.
Blood.
BOIL.

...She did this because she has a genuienly unhealthy, spiteful hatred towards Enter because of his reviews.
She wanted to find an excuse to treat him like a monster.
But all she did, is showing off what a fucking hypocrite she is.

Because... if ANYONE ELSE but Enter did what he did, accidentally writing a scene that triggered her PTSD, she wouldn't care.
Especially if it was someone she was a fan of.

I mean... would Robobuddies assume that I hate her and WANTED to trigger her PTSD if I happened to draw a comic with a scene that triggers her? Would she treat me like utter filth and talk shit about me?
Would she turn against ANY filmmaker or cartoonist she loves if they did the same?
If she wouldn't, she's a disgusting hypocrite.
If she WOULD do that, then she'd be harsh, but at least consistent, treating everyone equally.

When I was younger, I used to despise Confused Matthew because he made very poor movie reviews in which he would lie, ignore parts of the film and make up plotholes and flaws that aren't there but he made himself to make the film he bashed look bad. He really got under my skin.
But... I would NEVER do what Robobuddies did to Enter or treat Matthew like that.
I'm all for being hyperbolic or disliking people and celebrities, but this is UNFAIR and crosses the line.
Robo, you wouldn't give a FUCK if somebody else accidentally made a story that contained a scene that triggers your PTSD, you just wanted to justify your obsessive spite towards someone you dislike. FFFFFFFFFFFUCK YOU. You make me fucking sick you unprofessional fruitcake.

Oh, and when they 'pacified' she wrote on twitter: Sometimes a shitty situation is just a shitty situation and there is no definite good guy/bad guy. It's not up to me nor is it up to Enter to decide if there is and where we fall, because even if we acknowledge faults we will always see ourselves as the good guy.

So deep down, even if Robo apologized for how unfairly she treated Enter, she wouldn't be sincere about it and still feel like she did the right thing.

Both Patrick and Robobuddies have A LARGE FOLLOWING.
Many people, many youngsters who are subscribed to them will look at their asinine attitudes and think that's CORRECT and should do the same.
That it's acceptable to ignore flaws in something just because you subjectively like it, and that it's okay to hate someone's guts if they write a scene that triggers your childhood trauma even though they don't know that you have PTSD, or even worse THEY DON'T KNOW YOU EVEN EXIST.
YourMovieSucks and Mauler already have to deal with Patrick's retards who put links to his plotholes video (once again, the irony).
Another thing that makes it worse, is that these two won't learn anything from this.
Considering how nobody brings up the Channel Awesome drama anymore, both Patrick and Robobuddies will get away with it without learning anything or growing up as people. Apologizing and accepting your fuck ups to then grow up and never do them again is apparently seen as being weak nowadays, like something bad you MUST NOT do, which is bullshit. I see apologies as being reflective, noble, and a development into a better person that won't repeat that fuck up again. "But nah, fuck that noise, we did nothing wrong!!!" So all I can do is venting and express my feelings here.
However...
...I DO NOT advocate harassment towards Patrick or Robo.
Don't go write hateful comments to them or something, not only because NOTHING will get into their thick heads even if you're polite like Enter was when he "reached out", but because it wouldn't solve anything... it wouldn't help me or improve the situation.

The only way to fix this would be time-traveling and preventing them from doing the things that made me lose all respect for them.

I don't want them to live miserable lives, but they still utterly broke my heart and lost the respect I had for them, I must've been following them for two years since 2016 or so, I had kind of a connection with Patrick and Robo, so this is a shitty way to go.
I'm 40% pissed, and 60% just... saddened by this sickening injustice. It's akin to a depressing breakup.
I needed to do this as a way to cope with it and be able to move on, I just couldn't keep it inside and it just didn't want to get out of my head. It really, REALLY hurt me. They lost a fan in one of the worst possible ways.

I used to watch her videos a lot, they were informative about animation and techniques, they had a good sarcastic sense of humor and I liked her video about Steven Universe where she made a lot of fair and constructive criticism whilst being respectful to the show and the people, and she also introduced me to the shows Sym-Bionic Titan and Motorcity, I'm very appreciative for that and love when I find reviewers that make me discover cool stuff (James Rolfe introduced me to Dick Tracy and Phantom of the Paradise, they became two of my favorite movies)
Between the two, I'd say I looked up and loved Robobuddies more than Patrick... and what she did was arguably worse than Patrick's bullshit.

She bought Mr. Enter's book (which from what I understood is his passion project) to shit on it, wrote an awful review of it even though she didn't even read half of it (wow, it's as if that critic from Birdman came to life) and then went on to diffamate and hate Enter's guts because the story he wrote contained a scene that gave Robo PTSD of her childhood bullying.
Then she acted like Enter did it on purpose... and believes that he needs to apologize to her.
And when he came in and tried to understand what was going on, she treated him like utter shit going "What do you want? You're REACHING OUT FOR ME??" and kept on acting as if Enter was able to read into her mind and was supposed to know what he caused.

...She did this because she has a genuienly unhealthy, spiteful hatred towards Enter because of his reviews.
She wanted to find an excuse to treat him like a monster.
But all she did, is showing off what a fucking hypocrite she is.

Because... if ANYONE ELSE but Enter did what he did, accidentally writing a scene that triggered her PTSD, she wouldn't care.
Especially if it was someone she was a fan of.

I mean... would Robobuddies assume that I hate her and WANTED to trigger her PTSD if I happened to draw a comic with a scene that triggers her? Would she treat me like utter filth and talk shit about me?
Would she turn against ANY filmmaker or cartoonist she loves if they did the same?
If she wouldn't, she's a disgusting hypocrite.
If she WOULD do that, then she'd be harsh, but at least consistent, treating everyone equally.

When I was younger, I used to despise Confused Matthew because he made very poor movie reviews in which he would lie, ignore parts of the film and make up plotholes and flaws that aren't there but he made himself to make the film he bashed look bad. He really got under my skin.
But... I would NEVER do what Robobuddies did to Enter or treat Matthew like that.
I'm all for being hyperbolic or disliking people and celebrities, but this is UNFAIR and crosses the line.
Robo, you wouldn't give a FUCK if somebody else accidentally made a story that contained a scene that triggers your PTSD, you just wanted to justify your obsessive spite towards someone you dislike. FFFFFFFFFFFUCK YOU. You make me fucking sick you unprofessional fruitcake.

Oh, and when they 'pacified' she wrote on twitter: Sometimes a shitty situation is just a shitty situation and there is no definite good guy/bad guy. It's not up to me nor is it up to Enter to decide if there is and where we fall, because even if we acknowledge faults we will always see ourselves as the good guy.
...Ohhh, keep telling yourself that, you delusional fucking jackass...
So deep down, even if Robo apologized for how unfairly she treated Enter, she wouldn't be sincere about it and still feel like she did the right thing.

Bullies DO NOT see themselves as the villains, they see themselves as good guys, and they have this scary disconnection towards their victims, who they see as nothing less than punching bags without feelings, and if they get called out they just go: "Oh, c'mon, I did nothing wrong, if anything the guy I bully should stop being so punchable, I don't need to change, it's his fault, not mine..."

She's basically a school bully picking on an autistic person for no good reason and refusing to admit she's in the wrong. I'm sorry, all I can feel towards this personality and mindset is endless fucking disgust.

You know what's the worst part of all of this?
Both Patrick and Robobuddies have A LARGE FOLLOWING.
Many people, many youngsters who are subscribed to them will look at their asinine attitudes and think that's CORRECT and should do the same.
That it's acceptable to ignore flaws in something just because you subjectively like it, and that it's okay to hate someone's guts if they write a scene that triggers your childhood trauma even though they don't know that you have PTSD, or even worse THEY DON'T KNOW YOU EVEN EXIST.
YourMovieSucks and Mauler already have to deal with Patrick's retards who put links to his plotholes video (once again, the irony).
Another thing that makes it worse, is that these two won't learn anything from this.
Considering how nobody brings up the Channel Awesome drama anymore, both Patrick and Robobuddies will get away with it without learning anything or growing up as people. Apologizing and accepting your fuck ups to then grow up and never do them again is apparently seen as being weak nowadays, like something bad you MUST NOT do, which is bullshit. I see apologies as being reflective, noble, and a development into a better person that won't repeat that fuck up again. "But nah, fuck that noise, we did nothing wrong!!!" So all I can do is venting and express my feelings here.
However...
...I DO NOT advocate harassment towards Patrick or Robo.
Don't go write hateful comments to them or something, not only because NOTHING will get into their thick heads even if you're polite like Enter was when he "reached out", but because it wouldn't solve anything... it wouldn't help me or improve the situation.

The only way to fix this would be time-traveling and preventing them from doing the things that made me lose all respect for them.

I don't want them to live miserable lives, but they still utterly broke my heart and lost the respect I had for them, I must've been following them for two years since 2016 or so, I had kind of a connection with Patrick and Robo, so this is a shitty way to go.
I'm 40% pissed, and 60% just... saddened by this sickening injustice. It's akin to a depressing breakup.
I needed to do this as a way to cope with it and be able to move on, I just couldn't keep it inside and it just didn't want to get out of my head. It really, REALLY hurt me. They lost a fan in one of the worst possible ways.

All I wanted to do is just vent and express how much they disappointed me.
I'm done following Patrick and Robobuddies, it's over and making this huge rant should ease the pain and anger I have towards them and get this out of my system, it's been haunting me for two days, giving me headaches.
Jesus Christ, guys... I wish both of you didn't do what you did and I still loved you. But I can't. When you act like this, I cannot stand it. It's such a betrayal when two people you like turn out to be scumbags.
What makes me sick is that these two fucked up, but instead of acknowledging their mistakes, they go: "Oh, human beings are illogical and subjective! Oh, it's just a shitty situation, there's no good guy or bad guy!" they'll just cover themselves in the shitton of fans they have that eat it up and support them no matter what they do, fuck responsibility, am I right? Yeah, there's TOTALLY no good or bad, and likewise there's no right or wrong, it only matters when YOU decide it matters! What a great lesson!
I feel like subscribing to Cinema Sins and buying 10 copies of Mr. Enter's book just to spite these two snooty cunts.
