Description This is my favorite scene of the '96 Steve Barron's movie "THE ADVENTURES OF PINOCCHIO": when the gaint whale was going to eat Pinocchio...

In the film the whale is actually a man named Lorenzini (the film's version fo the character Mangiafuoco/Stromboli) who is the main villain throughout the movie. At first, he is a highly ambitious puppet-master who also happens to own Pleasure Island.

That park features a fountain with magical stream of water that will transform you into whatever animal you act like (boys who act like jack-asses are turned into donkeys).

Ironically, Lorenzini himself is knocked into the water by Pinocchio and undergoes his own transformation which turns him into a sort of Monstro.

It's a freaky transformation too XD

-I won't make the picture of Lorenzini apolagizing.
-Instead I'm making a 1-page comic book about the scene where Pinocchio gets shallowed by Lorenzini-Whale.

Is that enough clear for you???

here is another question if you dont mind me asking what you said that in the Steve Barron version of Pinnochio that the magic water that turns the boys into donkey and turn lorenzini into Monstro revleals you true Nature well deos it only mention that in the Stev barron version or in ever version of Pinocchio or in every version there is?

[link] only in the Steve Barron's movie there is this magic water thing. Even if this fact is absent from the book, I still really like that choice, the concept is good, fitting and unique.

I think that Lorenzini turns into a whale because like that monster, his personalitly is very ravenous, covetous and hungry for wealth; He basically consumes and swallows everything he can take possession on. So yeah, a giant, monstrous and greedy whale is very fitting to represent Lorenzini's way of doing.
Volpe and Felinet represents a Fox and a Cat for OBVIOUS reasons...

Listen have you ever seen the animated movie "Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night"? It's basically a direct sequel to the original Pinocchio's novel written by Carlo Collodi. If you haven't seen it yet well, what the fuck are you still there heating the seat with your butt, CHECK IT OUT RIGHT NOW!!! --->> [link] <<---

and a new twist to the movie and fairy tale.

true you have a point like the scene where the play at Lorenzini theater Pinocchio was boradcasting in Lorenzini is looking out at the children with his henchmen lurining beside him and he says in a snakey Voice {I SEE ALL OF THEM LITTLE GOLDEN JULES} in other words he was seeing those children as money hat was like how whale eats plankton.

if Lorenzini ever gets turn back to human form I bet he will be vomiting alot of fish seaweed and remains of what he ate.

I just saw the animated Movie of Pinhichio that you sent me I really like it but it was also sad for a second I thought it was the end of Pinocchion for sure but he turn out okay thank goodness.

also sarry if I annoyed you earlyer I was aolny ofering you some ideas If I had know they had botherd you i would have not sent them in the first place i am really sorry about that.

also I wonder if Lorenzini ever got turn back into a man the kids turn back into donkey so I wonder if Lorenzini turn back to.

Watch [link] and go directrly to 08:26 of the video.

I think the fact of the fountain is this: people who act stupid of in a immature way turns into "stupid" animals like jackasses, chickens or even monkeys! (in my theory, of course)

People who act like animals, for exaple: the the Volpe and Felinet, who in the end of the movie, after drinking the water, becomes a fox and a cat, because they actually ACT like those two animals! To be more clear, if Oswald Cobblepot, Batman's arch enemy, dirnks the water of the fountain he whould become a real penguin because he ACTS like a penguin.

People who act in a evil and twisted way became ferocious beasts or sea monsters (like Lorenzini).

In the end of the movie, Pepe (the wise optimistic cricket) explains why Lampwick changed back normal: because the boy acted good, and this changement of his nature makes him a real boy again (hopefully the other pleasured kids too). Lorenzini... bah... Because he's evil, I don't think he will come back normal really soon...XD Along with Volpe and Felinet.

P.S: Don't watch the sequel of this movie: "The new adventures of Pinocchio", because:

*It's confusing
*It's bad
*The trailer spoils the whole movie (WTF?!)
*It has no continuity of the first movie at all
*It's just a big and awful rip-off of the first movie
*To be more clear, it's one of those movies that you wish they were never made.
SO DON'T WATCH IT!

I watch it and I get your point and I do remember that Scene but for all we Know the Whale could have at Lorinzin whoch could have been why Pepe smeeld rotten Chill Peppers but im just kiiding myself on that I know the Whale is Lorinzini.

and Volp looks like Fox to with that red hair and I wonder if Volp and Felinet will get adopted anyway I see your point about Lorinzini but he acted more like a Dragon then a Whale when he ate those Chill Pepper and breath out loud like a Dragon.

also where did Lorinzin get the magic water that turn all those boys into donkeys that didn't make scen either.

Volpe and Felinet might since ther in town Lorenzini who knows since he a whale swing some out in the ocean out at sea and he cant do any good dead out there not many people go or sail out there and if Lorenzini deos turn back to a man lets hope he will re'think his life and see the light and relize everthing he did like his ambition turning kids into donkey and stealing Pinnochio from Gepto was wrong and settle down and starts a whole New life because in a way I felt sorry for the guy so if he turn back to normal lets hope the guy has changed.

okay i wont see it.

Wow, if you really have so much compassion for Lorenzini's character, that's another GOOD reason about don't see the sequel. Seriously, the sequel just raped my mind. And pissed me off because "The Adventures of Pinocchio" (the original movie) it's one of my favorite movies! Love this movie and hate the sequel.

really why is that also I herd Lorinzini is in the sequle to.

also I wonder if Gepeto and Lorinzini have any History like remember when Lorinzini pays Gepto a Visit he says Gepeto long time no sea and remeber Leona said she was laundring Lorinzini cloths like she is married to him which makes me wonder if Lorinzini is Gepeto brother.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

killb94 In reply to Makosharkman [2011-08-08 20:51:52 +0000 UTC]

I think you you misunderstood...

Leona married Gepetto's brother (who is never shown). The only connection between Lorenzini and Leona is that she woven clothes for Lorenzini's puppets (as a hobby or have some money). While Gepetto just makes some puppet for him.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Makosharkman In reply to killb94 [2011-08-09 03:42:44 +0000 UTC]

but it is stil Possible is it of or maybe not woven clothes for Lorenzini's puppets couldn't someone who works at Lorinzini theater.

While Gepetto just makes some puppet for him or maybe Geppeto use to work for Lorinzini until Lorinzini fired him.

When she gives the red hat and the small white dress to Pinocchio she said that she made them for Lorenzini's puppets.
