PREVIOUS...Welp, now it's his turn to get fucked for being an asshole.
Shit just hit the fan, and Geppetto and Human!Pinocchio will take their sweet time to do what they must and there's a lot to unpack about their killer.

Man, I can't believe two years already flew by... I really got far with this project and I'm so proud I didn't abandon it.

Ooh dear. Pinocchio's about to discover the horrid downside of living in a fairy tale world: magic exists, and it has a *sick* sense of humor when it comes to karma for the wicked. Methinks that the puppet's life is about to take a particularly nasty turn, especially if those ghosts can still interact with reality at will. Calling it now; Pinocchio pulls his gun at them, only to be rebuked with the classic "how do you kill what's already dead?" line or something similar.
Also, is it just me, or does Geppetto seem a bit...moreΒ than human now? I mean, yeah, ghost and all, but those intestines look almost like animate tentacles, and I could swear that his teeth look a bit closer to his creation's fangs than his son's human chompers. Also, he's either unhindered by his gouged-out eyes, or he just operates by hearing and Human!Pinocchio's guidance.
Either way, the subtle transparency effect is nicely done, as is the choice to make the ghosts bright gold to contrast their bloody wounds and savage words. Puppet!Pinocchio's shift of emotions is interesting; I'm not sure if he's gonna come out of this leaning towards shock, horror, confusion, or straight-up "this is gonna THOROUGHLY suck", but he's absolutely in for a very rough series of pages. Good thing the REST of his victims aren't inviting themselves to this party, right?

Ah, just as the Talking Cricket came back to haunt Pinocchio, so does Evil!Pinocchio now get a taste of that medicine.
Somewhere inside of me, I knew this story was gonna be more than Evil!Pinoke going after those who wronged him in his previous life. I got the feeling as soon as we got to the Green Fisherman and his backstory.

Also, wow, almost kind of forgot about those two parts of the prologue. Brilliant idea, bringing back a part of the story I'm guessing we (the readers) all thought to be long dead (literally

Because I added this. Although, even if I hate spoiling stuff in the comments and I prefer letting the next pages and the story speak for itself, I'll just say that them coming back is based on the Cricket appearing as a ghost when Pinocchio is in the forest, so I still got a reference of sorts for this.

Nah, the other bad people Pinocchio killed are in Hell, while I guess the police officers went to Valhalla or something.
