And here's the second picture in and I's little art trade.THIS is the character that I warned was coming out of left field. I figured I'd draw an obscure character to even things out.
Although when you think about it, he's not all that obscure... Anyways...
It's the owner of Rabanastre's bar, the Sandsea, and a guy who looks out for hunts. He is our buddy Tomaj, from FFXII and FFXII: Revenant Wings!
I don't know why, but I always thought he was a cool guy.
I figured the perfect moment involving him would have to be when we are bestowed the infamous first hunt from FFXII, that pesky Rogue Tomato! I had to find and pause a video walkthrough on Youtube to get a proper view of the Hunt board and the background. But I feel like it was worth it, and I had soo much fun making this one!

I like Tomaj too. He actually gets a much bigger role in Revenant Wings - plus he tries to flirt with Fran and Ashe.

Tomaj and Kytes are my favs I guess... and I don't mind Vaan. I like how Penelo looks like but some times I don't like how she behaves xD;
Filo's crush on Llyud is cute but... that's it. I avoid playing with her whenever possible because she dies so often ><'

I was surprised how much better Vaan was in RW... He was pretty annoying, in my opinion, in FFXII. But it was nice to see him grow up some.
I definitely agree that sometimes Penelo acted in a strange manner at times (like when Velis came along). But otherwise she wasn't bad.

TOMAJ!!! Loved that kid. Ironically, RW was the first FF I ever played. I was fed up of my mates going on about how good FF was, saw the title had FF in it bought it, opened it up "Sequal to FFXII" AWWW CRAP..

I technically never finished that game... but that's because I was borrowing a friends DS, since I don't have one myself.
And its totally awesome that playing RW game got you into the rest of the series! All the stories are awesome in their own right.

I wanted to get it right, so I felt compelled to look all that stuff up! It's hard to draw lesser known characters, but I feel it pays off in the end. I noticed there wasn't really any Tomaj art, and he definitely deserves some love.

I've never played FFXII, only RW, and in the RW version, he looks much more younger... Not used to this manly Tomaj I'm seeing right now!

All the characters looked ridiculously young in RW, so I can see what you're talking about. He IS older than Vaan after all...

There is some, but not much. But we've gotta love him. While there's not much to him in FFXII, I enjoyed his appearances in RW. Definitely a funny dude... (I lol'd so much when he attempted to ask Fran out...

This one is probably my favorite. The hunt board is wonderful and the coloring is just perfect...the lighting, the textures, everything! Plus secretly.....

Goodness, where to start?
I had lots of fun creating the hunt board and drawing the rogue tomato mark! I'm not gonna lie, I had to play around with a few brushes in Photoshop before I got the right look though. And it was SO hard to get the rest of the background right! Not much I could do there, since you can't see that much detail from the game...
I'm so glad you like the coloring and stuff though! The only thing I need to start doing now is actually making the character's clothes look like fabric so they have more dimension...
