I have FINALLY finished this one!
AND IT WASN'T SOMETHING KH OMG I NEED TO CELEBRATE!!!! XD
Anyways, my part of a trade with . She wanted me to draw Mikoto from FFIX, an interesting choice indeed!
Since I haven't played FFIX just yet, I don't know a heck of a lot about her except for what I read up when trying to find a reference picture... But she seems awfully important! Yet I find hardly any reference pictures of her. Not even official artwork. There's one small render and some screenshots.
That's just terrible!
Anyways, I'm glad to have given some more love to this character. I figured that she seems like the kind of person that pops up in random places to mysteriously lead your party or whatever somewhere, and what better place than one of those weird tree things I saw in some screens of Terra?

I just hope the pose doesn't look too... unnatural or anything... 0.0

BUT DAMN ME AND THEM BLUES... I swear I color every picture with BLUES. I NEED TO MIX IT UP THAR!!! WELP, I HOPE YOU LIKE IT MY DEAR!

The arm sleeves do look kind of awkward. It sort of makes her torso look midgetty. I think it's the area around the shoulders that's the problem.

Mikoto finally got some justice!!!! And now with SAI the colors are much prettier!!! You did great with her! And yes she is kinda what you guessed, she really pops out from nowhere
And I ABSOLUTELY love the pose she's in, I don't know, it just fits her. And wow for just screenshots, the BG looks stupendous!!!

I'm glad I was able to correctly characterize her; that was something I was worried about. ALSO ALSO I'm glad the background looks better! I'm really trying to put more effort into those, and I'm glad it shows!

I was just hoping she looks right. It's hard to capture the weird look the characters of FF9 have, they're kinda chibi-ish and kinda not...

They do have a really unique look, but I think you did a good job with her. It's almost up to our interpretation with any game before X.
