I don't consider martial arts to actually be art. Any truly effective martial art should be based around the concept of staying alive, and I see nothing artistic about survival.
Art is an expression of emotion, yes, but it's also self-fulfillment, and something that requires a heart and soul.
I would see art in a hand made sword, but not in a machine-manufactured gun.
