Not sure if this has been done yet or has been but with a minor difference in the caption, but never mind, on to the topic. It really does bother me that people (STILL!!!?) think that heavy metal (or just metal) isn't music. i mean, there are like a shit ton of metal sub-genres out there & the only thing they say "it's just noise"(despite all the shit they have raping their ears 24/7, like their "music" is sooo much better (sorry, i'm just pissed)) without specifying what song they heard (which wouldn't surprise me) or any different & more original (valid or not) reasons.
Sure i can understand them not liking certain sub-genres of metal (like death, black, grind ect) but as they never specify & just call it "heavy metal" (which i have no bloody clue why they mix 'um up & think its all the same) then i can neither take them seriously or really know what they mean.

so basically, no, heavy metal IS music (know about a genre &/or sub-genre before you make rash assumptions), it has been around for years & is loved by many around the world.
Also, for those of you who are new to the subject or or think its "just noise!!!!"(which is obviously a lie) give the following a chance: Living After Midnight - Judas Priest (heavy metal), The Wicker Man - Iron Maiden (New Wave of British Heavy Metal), Cry Thunder - DragonForce (power metal), Universe on Fire - Gloryhammer (symphonic power metal), Emerald Sword - Rhapsody (neo-classical metal) & any other recommendations, just let me know.

also notice how none of what i recommended is Death metal, black metal, grindcore or any of what "normal" people cal "just noise"(sorry if thats everywhere, it's just one that is spewed out quite a lot) or "not music" (this one too) so when (or "if" cuz i doubt any of those people will) you do listen (actually listen) to those songs, you will hear not only no overly harsh sounding vocals (just occasional high vocals) but different styles in each band, different sounding vocals, well written lyrics, epic guitar solos ect.

anyway, not much else to say, if there's anything i missed in the description, let me know in the comments.
