I’m still working on my other picture, but I feel that if I keep going at the intensity that I am, I’ll get a nasty case of carpool syndrome.This is a little doodle that only took around ~25 minutes but I really like how it came out. I tried to use the blue and purple overlay to mimic the aesthetic of Future Funk music, but I mimicked the old art style of Urusei Yatsura so it would look authentic enough.

Thanks! I used the pencil brush for the lineart and the crayon brush for the coloring, it’s a combo I like to use for doodles .u .

never thought of using the pencil brush? interesting maybe thats what other painters use.. im so used to using thick and sharp calligraphy lines that could slice bread lol

My lines are thick but I always use softer brushes, I used to use solid lines but it just looked so harsh for my characters’ designs and colors that I switched from 100% opacity in black to 80% opacity in usually pink or whatever matches the most. Although I use the normal pen tool for lineart, I use the pencil tool for sketches and backgrounds
