A living lie:

The wind stirs softly as it flies

Soaring above the clouds

Lifting its spirit high

A myth, a tale?

No, simply a living lie

Luring its prey with familiar sound

But to the blackness they shall fall

When the source of the voice is found

Mimicry is its skill

Deceit is its friend

Wrapping the person in its coils

Leading to an axphyxic end

It summons the tomb,

As it flies high with its meal

Making the victim suffer

With its warm hugging feel

Yet he shall feel nothing, not a bit of pain

It is all but a dream

As the venom of the Amphiptere flows through his veins.

The amphiptere is my favorite dragon form.I decided to give the amphiptere the power of mimicry in terms of its voice.One that is so familiar and the one that appeals to its prey in a powerful way.Someone terms of crying out for help,other in mockery depending on the hosts feelings.Once stood prey is in range,it strikes like that of a cobra.It doesn't kill them right away most of the time but let's them rest in the coils as it flies.The victim doesn't know that it thoughts lie within a dream as the amphiptere's venom flows through the their veins.It feeds similar to that of a spider.The insides are sucked out through vampire-like teeth.Then the remainder of the body is eaten whole later on.
