Thx for the advice.I have always wondered what specific planet they came from.Any you know that they buried the tripods long ago think of the tech they would have now?
One more question so in the film are there more than one kind of tripod? Because I saw one that had the heat rays and the baskets,one with the baskets but no rays(although that because they may have not been deployed),and the one with 5 headlights.
Also some tripods zap humans instead of pick them up.I though they needed the resources.What's your opinion?

It is true that this story of tripods buried for millions of years is not very coherent, especially why they waited so long for us attacked, why not much sooner, when humanity did not exist yet.
Maybe there was a conflict on their planet that delayed the attack, but who would wait millions of years for that?
And especially that they had to come to the ground buried their machines unless the tripods in their protective capsule were buried automatically, so why millions of years later when they come back it is only there that the Bacteria kill them.
It is like the story of the electromagnetic wave, after the storm all the electronic devices, watches, cars no longer work, so how when the first tripod comes out of the earth there is someone who film with An operational camera, the same for the team of journalists how they did to film the alien capsules in the lights while all electronnic devices are supposed to be destroyed by these flashes? It is very incoherent.
The tripod with five headlights I noticed also it is the one that pops up behind the flame wall at the top of the hill when Robby disappears, it seems that what was thought to be exhaust pipes can serve as headlights directional. Maybe it's a tripod admiral.
The others I think they have all the options, Heat rays, tentacles and cage, but they do not necessarily use them all according to the mission they perform.
