Description The Neverending Story has been a favorite of mine since i can remember. Parts of it scared me as a kid, and still have an effect on me to this day. I always loved the First Gate, and ive always wanted to make my own version of it, but i could not find the right statue. I always wanted to use something almost exact. I think the lions work perfectly.

thanks to the following for their amazing stock:

Β nebula/sky

mountains

rider

wings

lion

desert ground

rocks

fractals

skeleton

its absolutely stunning
one of if not THE best southern oracle fanart i've ever seen
i also see that you kept Artax in there as well so as if he never died in the swamps

thats the most amazing thing anyone has ever said about anything ive done. that means so much to me you have no idea.Β

you know it never even occurred to me. I never honestly made that connection lol. As a kid watching that horse die disturbed me. It was like Mufasa, i just couldnt watch them die. Artax was a character who i also feel never left Atreyu's side, so he was always with him. I remember wanting to see them both make it to the end. i guess i never got over it lol. Β its funny how your subconscious can influence you.

i'm just glad you included that loyal horse
watching it as a kid never really effected as much as Littlefoot's mother did.
i knew Artax came back at the end, reunited with his owner and friend.
again it's a marvelous beautiful epic deviation that will never leave my faves
or in my heart.
