I went to 80.000 once and it still wasnt really done xD. why didnt you render it in chaotica?

i couldnt, because i used post_falloff that day, not my very bright moment, dont know about dat post_depth variation tho
and thinking about the post_depth variation now, which is needed at least 60000 dens to keep the grain off *sigh* i should buy a decent PC
why not all the variation on apo can be used in chao?

dont know what version of post fallof you use but it should work with latest chaotica.

Since they are not all compatible with chaotica... Some things chaotica cannot do (like direct colouring which is a bit of a hacky way of fractalling).
this is not a strange phenomina i think.

Excellent concept very well carried out. Interesting artistic style and good taste, or classy if you prefer.
I do see a little noise, which is fine for me, but you know HD screens have no mercy. Personally, I like some noise, and deliberately don't work too much against it. My settings are: density 4000 (had no conclusive results at higher ones), filter 0.8 and oversample 4. These last two settings made a difference (particularly on thin lines), and accounts for 1GB memory usage and longer render times. Please let me know about your conclusions, if you wish.

first of all i thank you for the compliment
my oversample is 3, sometimes 4
but i set the density to 10000 and sometimes higher than that because i oftenly render a fractal before i go to sleep, and when i woke up, viola
the setting i used is based on how much time to take to view the fractal in 1000 density and how many zoom that i used, and how many transform that i used, and also the variation too
if i see a grain in 1000 density i render it higher than 10000 density, i often failed the render too, i like the smooth one, so i likely avoid grain
but in this flame case, its very hard to avoid that grain
i would like to try your setting too, and see the difference, i never compare it though

i m sorry for my lack of english
oh and i thank you for the fave

Very welcome. I would like you try my settings and very interested on how it worked for you. It will also save rendering times. As you know, it all depends on the density of the design. If it is too subtle, it may not render well under any settings.
No worries about your English, I understood you very well.

thanks again...
