Description This is Sage, my hippie Gardevoir based on this picture.[link] She is one with nature and is a peace-loving Gardevoir. She prefers not to start conflict, but if pushed, she can be a fierce fighter. (So don't get any ideas.) She is a marijuana activist and believes that the best healing is herbal healing.

Oh, boy, a hippie. What would Cartman think?

He would say "Goddamn hippie!" Then she'd smack him across the head and he'd cry like a bitch about it. Whee!

Of course. Even if he sung her favorite song backwards.

She looks like she has a human body with a gardevoir head put on top. Especially the hands and feet-if you were going for sexy with these features, it really just seems more... uncanny valley. She'd probably work better as a gardevoir Pokemorph (Pokemon synthesized with human DNA) than a full-blooded gardevoir because of her human features (five fingers, five toes).
Are you familiar with Pokemorphs?

Hey, Anubis looks like he's got a human body with a jackal's head on top, so what's your point? But anyway, yes, I do know about Pokemorphs.

The-Clockwork-Crow In reply to KiloTrays [2011-11-23 23:15:39 +0000 UTC]

Anubis is an Egyptian god, not a Pokemon. There's literally no comparison whatsoever, in fact it doesn't really help your argument at all.

He was also the main villian in the Yu-Gi-Oh movie. Anyway, I didn't do it to help my argument, I just said it cuz it was the first thing that came to mind. (Something that has body parts that don't match like the Chimera of the Griffin.) Besides, I know what she looks like. This is my style of drawing Gardevoirs. So I'd like it if everyone would STOP TELLING ME THAT.

They don't look creepy at all. You're the only one who came here and thought they did. Everyone else likes 'em.

The-Clockwork-Crow In reply to KiloTrays [2011-11-24 08:42:30 +0000 UTC]

That's because they came to see the tits and not the rest of the anatomy. Really, it needs work. Would you consider letting someone redline it for you at all?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

KiloTrays In reply to The-Clockwork-Crow [2011-11-24 19:25:37 +0000 UTC]

(Sigh) Ok. What would you you do to it? (Besides taking her tits away)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

The-Clockwork-Crow In reply to KiloTrays [2011-11-26 00:20:31 +0000 UTC]

No I wouldn't remove them, I may not be a fan of them but I wouldn't take them away. Mostly it's the rest of the body anatomy, consider that as humanoid as gardevoir is, it does not in fact have a human body, so matching a human body with a clearly gardevoir head makes it look a little mis-matched...
I could either do a red line (sketch over in red) over your drawing to show how to help with the anatomy-or resketch it seperately in a way so that it works with her ample chest without looking too off

KiloTrays In reply to The-Clockwork-Crow [2011-11-26 08:29:08 +0000 UTC]

Well, the picture didn't come out the way I originally intended. I wanted her to be in one pose, but I kept fucking it up and had to settle for this pose. It's mostly due to the fact that I had trouble drawing the way the hands were supposed to be. I didn't like what I was seeing, so I did this instead. But draw a sketch of how you would draw her so I know what to do to fix it.

The-Clockwork-Crow In reply to KiloTrays [2011-11-26 08:30:15 +0000 UTC]

Sure. Do you have any reference for the pose you had in mind or would you prefer seeing how I'd pose her?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KiloTrays In reply to The-Clockwork-Crow [2011-11-26 14:59:31 +0000 UTC]

I was gonna draw her in the pose that N from Team Plasma was in if you look him up on Bulbapedia. I just couldn't get the hands right. But how would you draw her?

The-Clockwork-Crow In reply to KiloTrays [2011-11-27 09:51:37 +0000 UTC]

You mean the one with one leg up and arms out, palms down? I would have just put her in the pose you have here, but I could try the one you wanted before.

The-Clockwork-Crow In reply to KiloTrays [2011-11-29 23:47:25 +0000 UTC]

No problem. Sometimes a visual aid is needed and I always preferred showing instead of telling someone how something would look a certain way.

KiloTrays In reply to The-Clockwork-Crow [2011-11-29 23:56:43 +0000 UTC]

Maybe I should stick with drawing Gardevoir hands (human hands are hard to draw), but I'm keeping human feet.

I suggest you leave it alone, queen. It all boils down to personal opinion, and that isn't worth discussing. KiloTrays doesn't see art as you do, just like your perception doesn't match with his.

Artistically, it's pretty interesting - shows that "I don't need no capitalist articles to keep my modesty".

It doesn't look very plausible, but then again, this is art and non-artistic license Gardevoir don't have noticeable breasts in the first place, so we're good.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KiloTrays In reply to REV6Pilot [2011-11-24 03:25:03 +0000 UTC]

Well, the early beta version of Gardevoir had breasts. But of course that would have started some unwanted trouble with uptight soccer moms out there.

But hey, my Gardevoir design is pretty unique. Wouldn't you agree?

REV6Pilot In reply to KiloTrays [2011-11-24 05:00:39 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, although, I saw them back when Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire first came out, so I couldn't tell you where to find them now. Though I'm looking.

And what do you mean "kind of?"

REV6Pilot In reply to KiloTrays [2011-11-25 01:31:55 +0000 UTC]

I'm still looking, but got no luck so far.

What I mean is, Gardevoir being drawn with human-like hands, feet and breasts is not a rare occurrence. Your proportions and curves are unique, though.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KiloTrays In reply to REV6Pilot [2011-11-25 05:51:57 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I just want to find it so I can set the record straight on Gardevoir having breasts.

True, other Gardevoir have had human-like hands & feet. But as you can see, that's my style for all of my Gardevoirs.

Ultragamer42 In reply to KiloTrays [2011-11-22 23:27:25 +0000 UTC]

...That maybe you should consider drawing regular Gardevoir once. You don't have to, but it'd show that you're not a total perv.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

KuroNetsuki In reply to Ultragamer42 [2011-11-24 16:34:52 +0000 UTC]

drawing breasts does not makes someone a perv, they're a part of natural anatomy and there's nothing wrong with them

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ultragamer42 In reply to KuroNetsuki [2011-11-24 17:01:53 +0000 UTC]

I know this, but when it's often nude, large breasts that it becomes a concern. Not to mention that actual in-game Gardevoir don't have them, so your "natural anatomy" argument is invalid.

KuroNetsuki In reply to Ultragamer42 [2011-11-24 17:24:59 +0000 UTC]

it's an artistic representation of his views, we're at an artist site, let the guy be, it's his path and what he enjoys doing, art should bloom by itself
