Is plasticard fairly expensive? Warhanmer syuff is pretty cost-prohibitive these days.

Depends... I get it in a 4' x 8' sheet..... but you can get smaller ones at hobby shops and model train places for reasonable prices. Initial outlay is a little costly, but if you are doing multiple projects, its worth it.
