Cas should show dean "heavens weapon". i bet dean would end up having a massive nose bleed. it would also be funny if Sam saw Cas in the outfit.

Yes! It was one of not so many anime, that were available through internet about 10 years ago in Russia (for those lucky bastards, who actually had computers and internet back then, and then it was spread on CDs). Ah, those were the times of "classics" - Sailor Moon, X, Card Captor Sakura, Saikano, Slayers, Angelic Layer, Evangelion, Hellsing, GitS and others! Really nostalgic ^__^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kim777777 In reply to Angel-Mythrael [2012-01-19 16:33:50 +0000 UTC]

OH! there were so much Japanese animes on the internet in Russia 10 years ago! Though I didn't watch everything, These titles are so nostalgic... I loved Saikano and Evangelion! BTW, there weren't Dragonball on internet at that time??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Angel-Mythrael In reply to kim777777 [2012-01-20 15:46:37 +0000 UTC]

Well, not very much - there was always not enough anime at that time (now internet is available for everyone and anime is overloading, but there're only a few really good ones). Evangelion ate my brain and Saikano broke my heart, used a lot of tissues on it XD
Dragonball was probably somewhere there, but I couldn't get it in our town.
We watched all anime with English subtitles, hearing the original voices of seiyu and learned Japanese like this. Really romantic times they were!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kim777777 In reply to Angel-Mythrael [2012-01-26 15:56:47 +0000 UTC]

Evangelion is interesting! and very popular in Japan! Though Saikano is not so popular. I used a lot of tissues on it, too!! That is sad, but good anime! And you didn't watch Dragonball? I think you're rare person, watched Saikano and didn't watch Dragonball. Saikano is very minor while Dragonball is very popular!XD
Oh you learned Japanese from anime? That's great! I'm learning English from TV-series like SPN, But I can't learn well... Hearing is difficult!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Angel-Mythrael In reply to kim777777 [2012-01-26 19:38:40 +0000 UTC]

Evangelion is popular everywhere
I know Dragonball is popular, but the story went like this: someone randomly uploaded Saikano into the net and then someone from my city randomly found, downloaded and spread it among other otaku (and randomly didn't download Dragonball)))
Yes, I learned it from anime and one day I found a small center of "Russian-Japanese Friendship" which provided lessons of Japanese language. It was pure happiness, we even had Japanese teachers (although I really don't know what could lead them into such a distant and frosty place as Murmansk - it's almost nearly Finland, really far away).
*Ima ippai kotoba o oboiteimasen desu noni, nihongo o ben'kyoshitanagara tottemo ureshiikatta* (Japanese grammar will cry from me now, but I was one of the best back then) I wish I had time to learn it again.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kim777777 In reply to Angel-Mythrael [2012-01-29 13:54:44 +0000 UTC]

Evangelion is still popular in Japan
And you're learning Japanese in earnest! The grammar is difficult ,isn't it? It's so different from the other language . But you can write Japanese! I can see what you're saying. If you say it more naturally, "Ima *wa* ippai kotoba o oboiteimasen desu noni ga[but], nihongo o ben'kyoshitanagaradekitanoga[could study] tottemo ureshiikatta" You live in the city near Finland! There would be so cold! Russian is so good at endure the coldness. I really respect about that.
BTW, I'm surprised that European people use English very fluently . Everyone in Russia learn English?

Angel-Mythrael In reply to kim777777 [2012-03-20 12:06:44 +0000 UTC]

Big time for comments!

I wouldn't say Japanese grammar is too difficult, I had more problems with understanding times in English (all those have had to be have), cause there's only 3 forms of time in Russian - past, present and future (in Japanese too, if I remember correctly).
I like Japanese and pretty much understand it because it has it's logic in it (the kanji for "forest" is 3 kanji of "tree" - simple and brilliant). It's logic is not exactly straight, but very elegant and philosophical (like in "sensei" - a teacher is the one, who was born earlier, I'm just in love with this exact word), and has a humor too (like the kanji for "noisy" is 3 kanji of "woman", lol).

And I wanted to write "Alhough I forgot a lot of words now, I was happy to learn Japanese", but failed cause I've really forgot nearly all grammar and words. Now I can't go and learn it because of my work =.=

Yeah, it's really cold in our Murmansk sometimes (about -20-30 C every winter), but not as cold as in some Siberian cities like Irkutsk or Yakutsk (about -40-50 C every winter), I just don't know, how they survive there O.O
As far as I know Hokkaidou is a pretty cold place too, no?

Well, yes, English is a standard foreign language in Russia now (it replaced German, which was popular during USSR times) and everyone learns it more or less in school and then in university. Some people (like me) go too special "lingva"-schools to learn different languages deeper then in school, that costs extra money, of course.

In which part of Japan do you leave? Tell me something about your hometown, I'm curious

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kim777777 In reply to Angel-Mythrael [2012-03-22 10:57:03 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad for get your response!

Yes, English tense is very complicated!>< That makes me confused so much. As you said, Japanese has only 3 forms of time [- past, present and future] That's the same in Russian? I've been thought Russian and English are alike in grammar, but there would be big difference than I expected...

Oh, you learned kanji! Come to think of it, kanji for "forest"[tree * 3] and "noisy"[woman * 3] are interesting!! If there are 3 women, they would be noisy! I'm glad that the foreginer like you studied Japanese and feel it's interesting!

I can understand the Japanese you wrote, perfectly! You're great that you can still write Japanese, thongh you stopped studying. Once I had been learning Germany, but now I forgot it completely and can't make a sentence in Germany.

-20-30 C every winter... That's soooo hard!! I haven't experienced under -8 C, so I can't imagine the world of -30 C. But Murmansk is not so cold as a Russian city? I heard about the Russian city "Norilsk". The lowest temperature in that city is -57 C. [link] I can't believe that human can live in such a hard condition. If I'm thrown into -57, I'd be die immediately.
Hokkaidou is the coldest place in Japan, but the average temperature in winter is about -8 C, and lowest temperature is -22. It's very warm compare to Russia.

Thank you for ask me about my hometown. My hometown is Niigata.[sea side near the Mainland China] Average temperature in winter is about +1 C,[Though it's very warm compere to Murmansk,I can't bear this coldness... Cuz Japan is humid, so effective temperature is more lower]

And There are heavy snow in winter. [link] Only one good thing is we can ski or snow boarding in ski area.

Every Russian people learn English in school!! So do Japanese![at least 6 years in school] Some people go too special "English" school, to learn it more deeper then in school. I've learned English for 8 years at school, but still I can't use English well...Not only me, but many Japanese can't use English in spite of 6 years learning. Is there people who can't speak English in Russia?
And Germany was the standard foreign language in Russia in the time of USSR. That's interesting! I didn't know that.

Angel-Mythrael In reply to kim777777 [2012-03-22 16:15:44 +0000 UTC]

Most European languages have similarities in grammar on in word pronunciation, because they all were formed from ancient Latin, Greek, Roman and Slavonic languages. Even Indian and Russian languages have surprising similarities!
Ancient Slavonic (grandpa of Russian) alphabet consisted of about 40 runes (analogue of Japanese kanji) and could be read as one phrase "I know letters, words are wealth. Work hard, people; learn about our world as every wise human should. Carry your words with conviction - knowledge is the gift of Gods. Dare, go into the deep to understand the light of being." Now we use a very simplified version of those letters and only a few people really understand what our letters mean.
Words in Russian change their form depending on what is "happening" with them (on what question does this word answer - who? - chelovek (a human), whom? - cheloveka, to whom? - cheloveku - and so on, some questions don't even exist in English and summed to one "who" or "what")
Foreigners usually say Russian is pretty difficult, so is said about Japanese. I guess they are even
(oh, I really hope you didn't get bored of my little lecture XD )

Yes, I learned kanji and I found them pretty difficult to remember. But I can read hiragana freely, and constantly forget various symbols from katakana (it's not as beautiful as hiragana, in my opinion )))
Oh, I remember some words from German cause I was a big fan of Rammstein when I was 15!

Ahaha, anyone would die in -30, that's why we have warm clothes and walk very fast! XD I work in a kindergarten, it's normal to go on a walk with 4-5 year old children 2 times a day till -18 C (till -20 with 6-7 year old children). The snow sometimes falls till April or May (we have tones of snow every year, but I don't go ski, too lazy ). And because Murmansk is situated beyond the polar circle we have polar day during summer (means it doesn't get dark at night, the sun just doesn't shine SO bright after 23.00) and polar night during winter (means the sun shines about 3-4 ours during daylight and then it gets dark like at normal night). Some people (even in Russia) think we have polar bears and penguins here in Murmansk! But it's not true, lol))

Oh, I even heard about Niigata before! Well, only the name of the city XD
But I've read about it now in Wikipedia. Haha, Niigata is bigger then Murmansk, like, in 7 times! And there're about 3 times more people then in Murmansk. Well, but Murmansk is also situated near water - on the Kola Bay, near the Barents sea. So, Niigata and Murmansk are both seaports! Yay, it's so fun to have some similarities in such different places as our hometowns!
And you have ガタケット in your city! Cool! *__* One can sell their own manga on such even, right? Did you try to make a doujin and sell it there? : D
We have two anime-festivals in Murmansk: Kinki and Hokko, organazed by fellow otaku. Also we have asian-music-party, j-rock-party and valentine- and halloween-party (also including j-pop and j-rock music).

Well, I'd say that 1 of 10 Russians know English pretty well. Others just "don't get" it. Probably it depends on the way your mind works, some people are good at maths and everything around it, some are good at humanitarium lessons (like languages and literature). I'm a total humanist and a total failure at maths (sometimes can't count 2+2 XD )
And the German started to gain its popularity back, when Putin became our president (because he is popular and knows German perfectly).

Most European language have similarities in grammar and word pronounciation! When I was learning Germany, I thonght there were a lot of words similar to English in Germany. Origin of European language is ancient Latin[is this the language used in SPN when they cast a spell?], Greek, Roman and Slavonic languages. That's why European languages have similarities. And I didn't know Indian is one of the European language famili es! I love Sanskrit characters very much, because its shape is so cool!![Although I don't understand the meaning at all] I thonght its origin is the same to kanji, but the origin of it is that runes! That's interesting!
I always think about that "if all people on earth used the same language, it woule be convenient." But there are many languages and it ever-changing by time. BTW, in my imaginations, Russian words tend to be longer than English. Is that right? In Japan, there are many dialects.

The dialect in northan[cold] part of Japan tend to be a contracted form. for example, "watashi[I]" = "wa" , "anata[you]" = "na". That's because of saving the heat loss when they open their mouth while they're chatting in cold air. There aren't similar phenomenon in Russia?[Sorry fo ask you a stupid question]

Kanji is very difficult to remember! And if you can use hiragana, you can express all Japanese. Even native speaker of Japanese forget kanji, frequently.
And you were rock'n'roll girl?!XD Your fasion would be so hard core when you're 15. XDD

I'm not confident whether I can survive or not in -30, how many clothes do I wear... Maybe walking very fast would help you warm yourself.
Oh, you're a kindergarten teacher! Children don't refuse going on a walk in -20?? Russian people are really strong. In my childhood, my grandma kicked me out into the snow when I did the wrong thing. But if you do the same thing in Russia, children would die.
Latitude of Murmansk is so high that you have a midnight sun! It's natural that people think there are polar bears! But I really think it's natural that there are penguins in your city.[Murmansk is efficiently cold and a seaside city] And maybe I can't ski in -20. I'd be frozen to die while riding a a ski lift. Is there any ski resort in Murmansk?

And Nigata is bigger than Murmansk?? I can't believe that! looking on the map, Murmansk is clearly bigger than Niigata, and it looks like as big as half size of Japan... That's because of the map of Mercator projection?? [link] (2008-03).svg

Lol, I didn't expect that you talk about ガタケット! Yes, once I made a doujin and sold it there! But buying doujin was much more fun than selling it! Have you ever read doujin? Is there doujin made in Russia??
And there are anime-festivals in Murmansk!! I'm glad that the culture of my country is loved by foreginers!
Speaking of culture, "Cossack dance" is very famous as a Russian culture in Japan. I tried to imitate it, but that was very difficult to dance![Maybe most of Japanese tried Cossack dance and failed, at least once] Can you dance "Cossack dance"?

Oh, 1 of 10 Russians can use English fluently. I thought most of European can speak English.[cuz there are many Europeans in DeviantArt]
But that's better than Japanese. In Japan, Maybe 1 of 20 people can speak English fluently. And I'm not one of them. You're a humanitarian type ,I'm mathematic type. I think Practically, language skill is more useful than math in dairy life. But don't make a mistake when you count the number of the children in kindergarten!

Oh, Putin can speak Germany? He is a cool president.
Maybe present prime minister in Japan, Noda isn't popular and can't speak any foreign language !
