Description
Tgwonder again, this time drawing Ash (evolving?) into a girl. I had fun coloring this, and I am happy tgwonder allowed me to show you this and Soda Tg to you. The original line drawing tgwonder did of this can be found here:[link]

The outfit is based on what Ash wore in one of the tv episodes where he was disguising himself as a girl. There are groups devoted to Ash looking like a girl wearing that outfit. Here is one such group:

Thank you!

I know pretty well where this come from, but it's not making me like it more, it would've been better to see Ashley in more casual girl clothes, no?

I do agree that the dress is a bit outdated, even at the time the episode aired. I believe they were originally going for Ash wearing that as the typical guy in drag comedy sketch. Tgwonder could have come up with something more stylish because this never actually happened like this in the series. Some of the other tg ones of Ash that I colored like him turning into Katara or Tea are more fun for me personally.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Tgwonder did a great job of drawing the transformation sequence which made my job of coloring it extremely fun.

For me, it helps knowing what the establishing beginning colors are and what they will eventually end up being after the transition is complete. Ash's clothing and the way he looks has not changed a great deal since he was created, I could almost see the colors in the black and white drawing before I added the colors. The same was true for Ashley's dress and her hair. Choosing different colors than the series canon simply would not do. The drawing becomes more familiar to the fans of pokemon when the true colors are brought to the surface of the art. That, and Ashley looks really cute in her dress.

I've never actually had any experience with the series, but I've seen enough fan art to know what he's supposed to look like. Such a silly departure from that made it all so worthwhile.
And you're right, she does look cute.
Though I'm curious why there is so much transformational art considering the poor boy.

Whenever I attempt to color a well known character I do a search of images of that character. I believe that there was at least one episode where Ash ends up dressing like a girl for whatever reason (I didn't see the episode). Ash puts on that orange dress and blond wig making him look like a pretty girl, just a cross dresser though.
I do find it interesting that there is almost a cult following for Ashley, at least here at DA. So much so that I wonder if there were more episodes of Ash parading around like Ashley.

Thank you for your comments, but honestly I colored the line drawing and tgwonder drew it. I approached tgwonder asking to color the drawing well after he posted it so I guess there might have been some sort of commission between him and Laprasking, but I wouldn't be privy to such an arrangement.

I agree, it almost has a Tex Avery feel to it, except that the eyes didn't pop out as far, and the tongue didn't rollout onto to the ground. Somehow that sounds very wrong to me on several levels. Let us hope tgwonder doesn't get an idea for a sequel.

When I first came across this I thought it would be great to see it colored. I meant to get back to it but couldn't until recently. Actually, I was surprised nobody had colored it before me. At any rate I was glad I was allowed to color and share, thank you for your comments.

Thank You, trying to get Ash's shirt and the rest of his outfit to transition to the orange dress at the end is something I like to attempt. I figure if the clothing changes magically throughout the sequence, then so should the colors, besides its loads of fun to do.
