" NRRGG C'mon this is not fast enough ! "

A shout filled the calm late spring afternoon air, the calmth of the riders there was disturbed by a rather frustrated Lex. Ever since Vienna he had been focused on one thing only: speed. Ramiro proved to be one of the best in the league if not for his slowness. It had caused them a way better placing. Though Kaira was very satisfied with this result for their first round, Lex certainly was less pleased. How could he ever win if the horse missed the fire the youngster clearly had.

In the meantime Kaira was just minding her own business with Mezuzah, trotting some poles and working him very losely. The stallion had only done some smaller shows the past few months after imperials and he seemed far more relaxed and happy. And where Kaira had expected him to leap over the poles on the ground he actually approached them calmly and trotted over them on their first try. Calmly, his legs of course leaving enough space between them and the poles because still he better not touch the scary things. That mysterious scary "clonk " sound might startle him again then.
Kaira took him back to walk a few strides after, watching Lex do the same with Ramiro. His head shaking with frustration and sighing all dramatically.

After the events at imperials and later in Vienna Kaira had grown a bit more silent, her whole body language changed to a more confident young woman. Her chin was up, her smile only reserved for those she deemed worthy or during conversation. A colder stare greeted the young guy who joined her side now as they walked their horses. Almost a disgusted look now, instead of the warm spontanious way she normally greeted her "friends". Though after Vienna it was clear they were far less than friends. Enemies even maybe.

" You need to take care he becomes faster, there are ways right ? Massage him, make him suppler ? vitamines ? Feeding ? Supplements ? " Lex started talking to Kaira, who didn't even grant him the honour of looking at him. She just pursed her lips a bit in thought.

Helping Lex was something she didn't want to at this point, yet for Ramiro's sake she owed him the right treatment to make him perform his very best. Even if that might be...too much. For dear Lex. He could cling on and steer ? He better.

" Sure.. I can take care of it. "

She replied coldly, staring at him for a moment with a grin. Now intended to just scare him away. Make him feel uneasy even maybe ? Yes, he shouldn't trust her after showing such disrespect. But he wanted Ramiro faster and she would grant him that.. at least. He is going to be so thankful. Grain could spark something in horses like nothing else. From previous experiences she knew Ramiro reacted to it quite extremely sometimes. She would take care to give him plenty when the time comes. And maybe take the brake off by using a hackamore ? Brilliant.

Lex continued his training after their very brief conversation, Leaving Kaira for a moment to look at the pair. The way she eyed them could best be described as a preditor following it's prey.

" Lee.. "
A soft kind voice spoke from behind her, the old tall hag had snuck up to her while she was focused on the jumpers. A smile appeared for a moment as she glanced behind to look at her. She knew her too well.

"Funny of you to call me that. "
Kaira chuckled amused. Turned Mezuzah to the fence to join her, which he quickly took adventage off to rub his slime all over Annette. Annette just let that happen of course, mostly just looking concerned towards Kaira.

" I know that look. Whatever you are thinking of doing just..Please don't. You were doing so well. "
The lady of course had seen it before, last time was just before she managed to bring mayhem to the dressage show when she freaked out Nero and caused his rider to break her leg. No..That look was never a good sign.

" Who is planting these ideas into your head ? My dear.. Is it that Simon ? New friends ? You haven't been yourself since you returned from working at imperials. "

Kaira's grin grew a bit wider, her fingers playing a bit with Mezuzah's silky fiery mane.

" What ideas do I possibly have right now ? I can assure you they are no ones but my own.. "
Her expression changed for a moment, her icy blue eye piercing right through Annette. Who remained unbothered by it. Her face just turned a little more concerned. If that was even possible.

" If you have a problem.. Any problem at all.. please..talk to me. "

The woman spoke with an almost warm yet begging ring to it. The look she gave her made Kaira's expression soften for a few seconds. Talk.. Maybe she should ? No..NO. Talking is for the weak, she could handle things on her own. Whatever she planned to do now was purely because she wanted to. Who cared what others would think of that. Certainly not her. Right ? She was fine.

Her whip moved underneath Annette's chin, lifting it up to make her look at her for a moment as she smiled down. Humiliating for her maybe, she certainly didn't seem to like it and it only made Kaira's grin grow wider.

" Sorry.. I think you have some kind of misconception. firstly, I am fine. Secondly, why on earth would I talk to you. You mean nothing to me. "

" Nothing ? I remember you in tears after your kur with Nero because I was there to watch it ? What on earth are you talking about ? "

Annette answered her all surprised, confused. What had happened while she was gone ?

" Oh Annette..tsk tsk tsk.. You silly old hag. "

Kaira let the whip tap her cheek a couple of times before retreating from the fence, waving her hand back in a sassy manner as she walked away.

" That weird, weak, friendly, ignorant me is gone. I fight my own battles, and I will do it my way. Leave me to it. "

Annette was left on the side, her eyes sad and pained by what she just heard. How could this have happened ? Bad influences ? Her hand rubbed her cheek as she left. She had feared for this happening, even though she didn't see it coming after she had seemed so happy with herself lately. She surely had to keep an eye on her now. This just screamed trouble and of course who knew it better than the one who fixed it in the first place.
