This is a lil set up for the next story line x3 lots of new info to take in but I hope you will enjoy. This is during Kaira's arrival for her GP test at Fredensborg

Also..Leonie aka Kai mom. Her lies.. or truths.. what to believe even ?

It was the first day at Fredensborg when it happened, she had just fallen with Mez and left the crowd to retreat to the guest stables. It was there where Lyo approached her to help her out, care for her wounds and clean them but then.. She remembered her mother coming in..and as usual Lyo among many other men had taken her interest.

Leonie had made a move, and then.. they recognized eachother. Not just that but it was clear to Kaira they had shared a rather...intimate meeting before.. they got a bit closer.. words became unbearable for her to hear as they started to become sappy and..romantic almost. Flirting.. she fleed the scene as fast as she could.

From a distance she saw them leaving for a nearby cafe. And not much later.. Lyo stormed off. Clearly angry and frustrated. And ever since that moment there was radio silence on his part. Kaira wondered what her mother had told him..the thought filling her mind ever since that first day. If she could even focus on it with this concussion..

The 4th day had arrived, the sun slowly going down and the snow swirling majesticly through the air. It was Kaira's turn to shine tonight with Mezuzah. Painkillers were taken for her head and she just got him off the trailer when she heard a voice that always managed to make her skin crawl.

" Hello sweetheart ! "

Her mother greeted her loud and clear so everyone around would hear too, the fact she never wanted anything to do with Kaira unless she could brag about it was clear as daylight now. But of course, that came to no surprise to Kaira herself. Who just sighed deeply.

" I wish you the best of luck my pretty, show them all how it's done ! "

Again, it was loud. So loud it made heads turn around her. God damnit.

" Shut it would ya ? Stop this act of yours I am not falling for it. No one is. "

Kaira hissed to her mother, silently so only she could hear. The frown that accompanied the words made her mother drop the loudness and move a bit closer. Still keeping the posture of a "loving supportive mother" however.

" I am sure you will do great though honey. I am so proud of you.. "

She continued, Kaira by now was ready to eat her shoe from frustration that this fake woman caused her. But she also wanted to talk about what happened three days ago. And..well perhaps this was her only chance for now.

" Can I ask you something ? About what happened 3 days ago.. "

Kaira asked carefully, hoping she was willing to comply.

" Naturally.."

The lady answered with a bright smile. Yuk..thought Kaira. But she had to stomach it for a little longer.

" So.. You and Lyo huh.. when...the fuck ..did that happen. "

She asked, one of many burning questions.. she sure as shit hoped it wasn't recently.. her mother did have a habit of going after her friends.. the cougar, it disgusted her..

" Ohh hon that was agessss ago.. You weren't even born yet.. "

Kaira let out a sigh of relief, thank god.. still yikes but that was not as bad as in the recent years..

" Ah..alright..I see..well.. ever since you talked with him back then ..He has almost been kinda..avoiding me it seems ? He seems so weird around me ever since. I did see him storm off and clearly upset ..What on earth have you told him ? "

She asked with a certain urge, demanding yet still polite. Did she gossip about her ? Did she tell a lie ? Did she tell him her history.. what could it have been that made him so upset.

" Nothing for you to worry about my dear. I..might have rejected him and he wasn't very happy about that.. maybe it's painful for him to look at my lovely daughter after that ?"

Kaira's skin crawled again, her blood boiling to the point she could barely keep herself in check.

" That's seriously the worst lie I have EVER heard ! What did you tell him to make him upset woman, answer my question..he is my friend !"

Kaira hissed, grabbing her arm firmly to demand an honest answer this time.

" He ..did not wish to share that info, not just yet. So I will respect his wish. But I swear.. I did not tell him anything bad about you at all. Maybe he just doesn't want to be around you for a while..that's not so hard to believe is it ?"

Leonie frowned at her daughter but didn't fight the grasp. Knowing Kaira is much stronger anyway. Kaira felt not much of a lie in that one.. So she let go. Now she was even more confused..he did not wish to share..what ?

" Goodluck my dear, I will be cheering for you.. don't let this bother you too much. Concentrate.. "

Her mother spoke, blowing a kiss before she left to mingle with others in the crowd. Kaira's reply was a classic middle finger. God.. that woman.. she sure hoped she would find out what exactly was wrong soon enough, but for now..she had to focus. This evenings ride will be quite the task with her concussion and nervous wreck of a horse. Maybe not a bad idea to say a prayer before the big moment..
