Thank you! Yes I do work in gold! I use gold only by request. And Usually the client brings me their gold to melt for the ring.

First I liked this ring because of the way it looks. After I've read your comment I love it because I love the rings that spin.
I bow down before your craftsmanship.

amazing! How did you get the texture on the big ring, if I may ask?

I used a brass texture sheet and put my metal through the rolling mill.

oh! very cool.
I'll have to see if my metalsmithing teacher has that around to try out. I never really thought og it before.

I love the patterns on the inner ring. If the patterns are etched in the silver, what do you use as a resist? I haven't found a good one for silver, although I have heard that paint pens work fairly well.

I use a brass pattern sheet and my rolling mill to achieve the detailed backgrounds. I haven't tried etching on my silver but I do know another jeweler that etches all of her work with her own original designs.

Great concept to twiddle with! Did you roller print the texture?

I used a brass texture plate and my rolling mill. There are soooo many possibilities!

The brass texture plates sound interesting. Do they last very long? I don't think they are available here and would probably be a bit expensive.

Here is where I order the brass plates from:

They last if you take care of them and always anneal your metal before rolling. When they get worn out I use the brass texture sheet for backs of my box pendants.
