so like if i did adoptables like this, would you buy them for real money??? or am i supposed to use points? I really have no use for points, but i do need moneymoney, so would you pay like, say, $3 for one of these things? pls help.

theres a points to $$$ converter (the only downside is that it takes 14 days to process!) that dA offers that doesnt take any of ur profit
100 points = 1 dollar in that system
so it wouldn't hurt much to offer selling them by points too btw

why does dA do this, then? is it because points are like?? a safer transaction than using the actual moneys? I LITERALLY DID NOT KNOW THIS EXISTED LIKE HOLY CRAP

cuz when someone PURCHASES points, dA takes like 10%? 20%? profit from it. so when someone buys points from dA the ratio is 1$ = 80 points.
so when you get points for art, dA also wants you to pay them even more? so the real conversion if you want to accept points as a way of payment is 1$=100 points to go to your bank because dA takes that 20% from you yah its complicated but trust me it works.
tldr; DEVIANTART IS STINGY AND TAKES SOME OF IT, BUT WHO CURR IF YOU'RE STILL GETTING PAID BY THE COMMISSIONER. commissioners problem not yours.

see that? on the right how it has the 1200 points payment option? that goes right to my "My Earnings" page and converts to 12$. then it sits in the "My Earnings" page for 2 weeks while dA clears it for you and then you can move it to your paypal.

from what i gather, you can convert points into currency by cheating the system and using paypal and the dA beta system/SMACKED
