As u can see the story through the stained glass. Anushi(shichi)has three souls, which is two souls were given by his parents(choro and oso) and the other one is given by jyushi for wings.every time, he feels so much pain when transforming to "Tenzi"((heaven and hell for japanese)) dragon.
feels like he get nailed his hands and legs by stone hammer just like jesus's pain.
