This is (or course) based on the adventure time episode name too old. I liked the episode a lots, but i think it was sad at the same time. I mean, Lemongrab is my favorite minor character in the series (wich is not surprising, thougt). Remember how he was in You Made Me. Who could forgot the head nuzzling and the good effect L2 do to LG?? And they was soooooooo cute together!! It really looks like than L2 manage to gives some sense to Lemongrab life. This until the day than LG lets his jealousy becoming stronger than his love for his brother. He expresse it when Lemonsweets appear, but thats just arouse most of his dark side. So, he become tyrannic and more angerfull than never. I really hope than L2 wasn't being digearated and than PB and/or Lemonhope will managed to ''cure'' LG.
I draw this because i miss the old Lemongrabs, and because i do believe than L2 really miss how his brother was before and all the good times they spend together. If i wasn't atheist, i would literally prey for Lemongrab 2.
And i aslo know than Innerpartysystem sings a song named structure where the main phrase is ''Why did you change?''.
Anyway, on thing is sure, is i really hope than Coryn, the king of Ga'hoole, won't take a trip to Ooo with the Hoole Ember in his claw and take a break too close from castle-lemongrab... BWAHAHAHAHAAAHAAHA!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!

Before i post this draw, i thought they would be only a very few chanches than one of my devitions couuld have more favs than my Cloudtail fanartkimorox.deviantart.com/art/Clo⦠and than, if it appens, it would probably no more than 5 favs in more... but now, this AT fanart have 41 favs!! Its more than the double of it!!
Oh yes, and i know than 42 favs is very modest for many deviants... but not in my case. In others words: Im FAR from being the best

There was something always wrong with Lemongrab 1 since his creation, it just took a while for the wrongness to fully manifest (kind of like how serial killers are a bit off as kids but normally don't start murdering people until their late teens). Lemongrab 2, while annoying, didn't have the wrongness/messed-up psyche of Lemongrab 2. So in all fairness things were already wrong, Lemongrab 2 just didn't realize it until it was too late.

Actually, I don't think it is because Lemongrab 1 was ''worst'' than his brother, but turned out like that because they growed-up in two VERY differents circunstances: while L1 grew up leave-behind by the only family he has (Princess Bubblegum), L2 always has his brother with him and never suffers from the lack of acceptance.

Why did Lemongrab 1 change?Β Was it the death of Lemonjohn?Β Could it have been the horrible experiments his mother preformed on him in ETDBIDK?Β Was it the centuries of loneliness before LG2 came along warped his mind?Β Or was it just bad writing because Rebecca Sugar left the show and she was their top talent?

I don't think Lemongrab changed because the crew sucked. Adventure Time was good even BEFORE she worked on it. In fact, a member of the crew confirmed than they changed Lemongrab to make a unexpected twist to the story.
For what is about the thing that changed him, well I believe its a mix of all you enumerated. But not just thats. I believe its aslo because he's wanted the approval of his mother and peers. In other words, the whole reason why he's changed how lemon people lived AND was brutal with them is because lemongrab wanted to proves to his mother he's was a good son.
And then, PB taked Lemonhope with her. This is why he's was torturing them in ''Lemonhope part 1 and 2. Because he couldn't forgives them to let the life he always wished for going to another boy (remember, they ALL helped LH to escapes in ''Too Old'').
All of this without mention he's already have a complex psychology before all of this happened.

Personally, I feel that this episode was inevitable. Lemongab has proven at every opportunity that PB should have just killed him the moment he was born.

That episode was perfect.
Nice mix of creepy and deep feels. which is what makes up Adventure Time other than funny randomness.
