I used acrylic paint in certain places to get a stronger colour.Β

I used an mdf board for this. It's really simple, just pva glue mixed with water.

it's so smooth! I want to try something like this but I'm afraid it won't come out as smooth lol

just give it a go... took me quite a few times to get it really smooth. Try adding some glue to the board/canvas as well as the newspaper and stick it down as quick as you can to avoid it wrinkling. Good luck
