Finally am posting something again~ I've joined the Satam Sonic the Hedgehog Rejuiced project. This is the reference sheet I made for myself to get comfortable drawing Sally and Tails in my style ~ I'll post my progress here too!More info of the project can be found here
I kinda feel like I should explain my design choices of Sally, I kinda am a bit annoyed by the fact that girl characters always need to have eyelashes or makeup in order to tell they're girls. I always saw Sally as more of a tomboy character so never got why (especially in the early pre-genesis Archie comics) the girliest girl in her looks that can possibly be.
So I intentionally changed her weird eyeshadow in more of a fur pattern and removed the mascara. I also liked to give her a bit bigger eyebrows because why the heck not
And I really liked her stripe on the back in the later Archie comics so wanted that to be in her design as well.
I probably don't need to explain much for tails. It's pretty much a mix between his game design and cartoon design 8'D
