I haven't finished that surgical tool yet... (or the man, background, etc..)
The baby's leg is actually darker, but the flash washed it out...
If you want an idea of how big the drawing is, well... the baby is bigger than a real baby!

Thanks! Too right I'm going insane over it; I'm on 2 weeks holidays right now and practically need to get this whole thing finished within the next 5 days.... I've just started doing the background... then I've gotta start a whole other artwork, but thankfully it's half the size of this!

Yeah, it's part of my year 12 major work.... there was originally going to be 3 pieces, but I'm severely running low on time so there's now only going to be 2.. shouldn't make too much of a difference though!

Yeah am still on my first picture and i still have two planned to go.... It's so fustrating lol. I hope to get all three done though as soon as my pip is out of the way it major art all the way

YEP!, I'm just about to load up the one i've been workning on dare i say it... This whole year! Its a mixture of lead and ink and it kind of has a sin city appeal, which was unindended

Yeah my paper is massive, it's defineatly the biggest i've drawn on yet, but i was slowly working up to it, i usually draw on something in between a4 and a3 but then in year 11 i was drawing on paper about the size your working on now, and then now in year 12 i thought hmm how big can i make this go, and as you can see it's a pretty confronting picture so the bigger i thought the better reaction!! but i have never really drawn on a5.. it's too small lol.
oh and you know how i said i hope to have two other drawings done...well there also going to be this size, though thinking about it now i might have to down size alittle to get them done!

Oh I didn't know it was just random... but yeah, hope I'm not being too mean but some of the artworks that got in this year were a bit questionable!! They don't seem to pick many pencil drawings, either...
Downsizing might be a good option... drawing on that sized paper would take me probably months to finish (though I'm an incredibly slow drawer

Yep the 1st of September is when EVERYBODY hands them in as that date was set by BOS. And I think i will down size for the next two, it's probably better to get my three images drawn rather then two big ones
And yeah i went to artexpress this year at the sydney musuem? anyway and i didn't want to be mean either but geez some of them where not very good at all. I especially didn't like one as it had no (well to me) no thought be hind it and the techniqual skill was disopionting - well lets face it , it looked as if if was literally painted by a grade 1 person!!but yeah I agree there are usually very few pencil drawings, and i notice this year alot of the artworks had a connection to recycleing

(sorry for the late reply!) I hope you've been getting through your artwork... only a few more weeks till its due! I'm getting there with mine, but I've still got a fare bit to go... I'm trying to finish it within a week or two, because I don't want to have to finish it while doing the trials!
We went to artexpress in the Sydney art gallery, but I think I may know the one you're talking about! Haha.. maybe the next theme will be something a bit macabre so I have a bit more of a chance of getting in

finally finished my first drawing and the other day i started my second picture
which i did decide to halve in size so i definately will be getting my drawings
done (I just have to keep going at lunch and during free periods which is no problem
our learning centre gets pretty boring, and my pip will be finished this monday!
so i can speand all the time i want (within reason) on my artworks.
anyway i'll stop typing now before this turns into a novel lol.

I'm currently doing my trails now, Luckily all my exams fell in the first week except for two which is next week on the same day, so i'll be able to bring home my drawing and get it done *fingers crossed* next week and then i think i'll have 2 weeks? until there due but my art teacher will be swopping our study week to prac until there due anyway so I'll be able to complete the third drawing then! yay.

They may usually, but the photo I used as a reference is fully intact as far as I can tell... though I'm no expert!
