When Celestia had enough of her spoiled nephew, Duke Blueblood, she temporarily restricted his magic to basic levels then promptly sent him to the most humble, honest and hardworking pony she knew to help him. Fluttershy, which was quickly saved by Rarity Belle and he was transferred to Applejack. After weeks on the farm, Blueblood found himself pulling himself away from Canterlot and towards Applejack. His heart supposedly aimed to this Earth pony who showed the errors of his ways, who showed him how selfish he’d been and how his lies and manipulative tendencies dragged ponies through the mud. Nearly three moons after living on the farm, he started dating Applejack and after a nearly a year of a borderline okay relationship, Applejack found herself pregnant.

They were married on Sweet Apple acres. But unbeknownst to Applejack, Blueblood began to get cold hooves and almost bailed on the wedding when AJ’s friend from Appleloosa, Caramel Swirl, held him down and almost broke his arm and hissed to him “leave that gorgeous mare at the alter and I break every bone in your body”. Blueblood stallion-ed up and married Applejack. A few months later, and some fights about whether she should give birth in a hospital or not, AJ gave birth at home in the barn hidden in the hay from a Timberwolf that broke into the farm at night. When Blueblood returned home, he found a Timberwolf in splinters, and a small, pale, golden unicorn foal. While anger was also was there, it was quickly replaced by love.

Four years after the birth of Gala, AJ had another boy named Jonagold Apple, who she would hope bring them back together. But to the misfortune of both of them, drew them apart and were divorced. AJ begged him to stay, not for her but for the foals. Blueblood refused, and with a eight year old Gala and six year old Jonagold, he left, taking his oldest with him to Canterlot and leaving his son behind.

Even though she’d been given lots of help from her brother and sister, as well as spousal support from Blueblood, AJ still struggled to keep her and Jonagold afloat. She worked hard, but at the cost of losing a relationship with her son. When Granny Smith passed, Jon was given to Twilight for magic lessons. And after a fateful encounter with her friend from Appleloosa, Caramel, she settled down once more with what was seemed to be a bland as bread stallion who had the brain of a rock but would listen to her for hours.

Taking it slow, they married for a year before having four foals, while Gala was thirteen, Jon was eleven. AJ found she needed to reconnect with her foals from her previous marriage. Caramel was supportive and also wanted to get to know Gala and Jon better than he did currently. Jon met Caramel, and all he could think of him was, this stallion is boring as heck. Gala met him, and immediately bristled, ran off and went home. Gala does regret this, but she just didn’t care. If she and her mother hadn’t talked in years, what was the point in even trying to get to know each other again?

AJ felt bad for her children, and felt as though she could not get close to them. When Grimes was born she hovered over him constantly, giving him presents and teaching him all that she could. Grimes though, behind the back of his mother, would be bossy, mean, rude to those outside of his direct family circle. Especially his half brother, he hated unicorns, and having one be his brother was his worst experience to him.

While Liberty had a different experience inching further away from his family since his interest clashed with their talents. The twins were given as much freedom as they could, buuuut Pinks‘s (named after Pinkie Pie) wild party personality with a tendency to.. strip.. did make AJ urk quite a bit, including her father who would avidly ground her for throwing wild parties when they would turn their backs even for a second.

For now, AJ still hopes to connect with all her children. She does retain a somewhat friendship with Blueblood still, but she keeps her distance from him due to not wanting to remind herself of the pain she endured in her first relationship.

This took wayyyyyyy too long. And I still don’t feel as if it’s done, but i wanted to toss out this last bit of story to the AJ family, but I’m still not done with them. Any who, it’s late and I need sleep.
