Thanks to some recent rp'n w/ [link] I've generated 2 new characters (Micah and Angie).I'm almost done with a Micah ref sheet, but I'm stuck on how Angie looks. And since she can shape shift into something like a crow/raven, I thought I'd draw that to self-generate some inspiration.
It didn't really help. =_=;;
Oh well, look at the pretty birdy!

I forgot about this character. I think she was supposed to be some sort of shape shifter...with a raven as her default form...and had a limited mass to use in other forms. So if she wanted to be like...a wolf, she'd be small; like a puppy-sized adult wolf.
Hm...urge to doodle and remember what the heck her personality was...rising.

mmhh... i know a glowing sword from "Shadow of the Colossus" ^^ the beam of light that came from the sword showed you where the next colossus is ^^

Very cool! I like how the turquoise markings give her a distinct look. Nice job!
For inspiration of her human look, maybe search the portrait photography gallery with the keyword "avian." You might find someone who leaps out and says, "Hi, I'm Angie!" ^^

Mmm I'm really just struggling with how much bird should go into her humanoid form. I'll probably just try some different things and see what looks best.

Mmm I don't know if looking at birds will help. I really want to take the bird form here and make it humanoid, but I'm just deciding how much bird should go into it. I'm weighing pro's and cons of claws, beak, wings (attached to arms or just shoulders) etc etc. I'll just have to make some sketches and see what looks best. X3

If I draw humanoid birds I usually make the wings and arms one limb (attached to the arms I guess) with a thumb 83

But I think she'll have them separate from the arms because I want partly clawed hands.
Gosh I'm so bad. I have a Micah reference sheet sitting at 90% done on my comp, and this really cute one of Micah hugging bird Angie and that needs like, an hour if I sit down and do it.
