Guess who discovered the burn and dodge tools today?Meh. I'll play w/ this technique, but dunno if I like it or not.
Poor Clara. I so rarely draw you smiling. =X
And what the heck is going on here? I mean, I know the answer but...*lazy arm flail* too much to type. -.-

Yes, and man does that light burn. And after touring your spectacular gallery, it's kinda hard to ignore your opinion.

When I do. I found the perfect one yesterday, but I needed 79 bucks more with it on sale, and since the sale ended yesterday, I now need 200 bucks to buy it. If I didn't live in such a redneck town, I'd have a job by now, but my long hair seems to be putting employers off, and it's just not worth a source of income to me to cut it short. I'm just hoping for another sale on a similar computer and a job at a guitar shop or something.

while walking through the park in the late afternoon I heard some Rustling in the bushes along with small whimpering. Kneeling down expecting a small animal snagged on a branch, only to find a blue Easter egg rattling violently. "what ever is in there it can't get out by its self." I thought reaching for the egg. lightly popping the egg open over my free hand I heard a small as the small creature fell into my hand.

Clara was petrified with fear not knowing what the giant intends to do with her, the giant appeared to be in his late teens early twenty's. shifting her attention to her former prison she choked. "Th-thank you for getting me out of that egg." I looked at her with a look of astonishment. "Did you just speak" I asked In a hushed voice not wanting to scare her more. She nodded with fear still in her eyes. After a few moment Clara's left hand started to sear with pain. Noticing the the cut on her hand, "I have medicine that can help with that cut." I said Placing her in my breast pocket. While In the giants pocket Clara began to wonder what was up with the giant because he didn't crush her, he understand our language and he was showing her compassion by offering her medicine. Lightly putting her on a picnic table I grabbed some ointment "this may sting but it should clean out the Infection." lightly patting it on her hand. HSSS she hissed. "The worst of its over" I said handing her a tiny band-aid. "thank you" she said putting on the band-aid.

I looked down at the small girl, taking her entire appearance in. Her small fuzzy ears were folded against her head, a bald tail wrapped around her body, and her hazel eyes were darting to every slight movement I made before locking onto my own dark brown pair. I'd only ever seen a handful of living nezumi from a distance, and those were always under far less...pleasant circumstances. Shifting uncomfortably in the long silence, I ventured to speak again. "My name is Jai. What's yours?" She hesitated for a few seconds before muttering "Clara", and started edging towards the end of the table. I let out a long sigh and put a hand in front of her, to which she stumbled backwards until her back connected with my other hand. "Here, I'll help you down." Cupping her between two hands, and ignoring her sudden squirming, I started walking back towards the bushes I had found her near. However, I hadn't gone more than a few feet before a hand gripped my shoulder, forcing me to stop.

"Hey buddy what do you have there" an all too familiar naezely voice said. Quickly placing Clara in my breast pocket, I turned to greet my follower."Stan how many times do I have to say it I am not your buddy and to answer your question It's none of your business." I replied trying to get away, after 3 yards Clara poked her head out of my pocket and asked "Jai who was that?" "That was Stan, You don't want get to mixed up with him." "you know its rude to talk behind someones back, plus you know that I like to meet nezumi." he said look at Clara with a sinister glare. The whole scene was deathly silent till Stan said "Now I remember I found a nezumi village not to far from here I real good look at in" I gave him A rage filled glare and asked "how many are left?" Clara looked up at me with a concerned look. "None are left they all ran and they won't come back for her." He answered giving a wicked grin to Clara. Clara's Eyes began to water and I got enraged. I saw those two boys stuff you in that egg, so I followed them and you can fill in the blanks from there." "Shut up Stan." I said through gritted teeth. Well I'm just telling the truth because it is all her fault" He finished just as I punched him hard in the face.

Jai was trembling with anger, his fist throbbing from the punch. One part of his mind told him to beat the jerk to a bloody pulp, and a thankfully louder part told him that that wouldn't accomplish anything. He took a couple steps back, a hand hovering by his breast pocket, and looked down at his charge. Clara's body was numb, and the only thought going through her head repeated on a loop "He's lying, he has to be. He's lying, he has to be." It took what felt like an eternity to shake herself from her state of shock and desperately began to climb out of the pocket. Jai moved a hand to stop her. "Let me go! I have to see for myself!" she protested, shoving against the gigantic hand. From the ground, Stan laughed to himself before spitting a gelatinous mix of blood and saliva onto the grass, and grinned up at the pair, teeth glistening red, his bottom lip already beginning to swell. "Come on, would I really lie about that?" Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, he stood up and started to walk away, calling back "Can't blame me for giving a friendly reminder about who the dominant species is!"

After that statement Jai wanted to listen to his violent voice but restrained himself. because he knew he wasn't lying. Seeing the look on Jai's face made him burst out laughing "oh look who thinks he is all high and mighty. Hey mouse You are in grave danger with him because he love to eat the flesh of creatures that aren't human." he said disappearing from sight. Clara was frozen in pure fear her instincts told her But she wouldn't survive the fall and she won't find out. Seeing Clara like this really hurt Jai. "You have nothing to worry about I won't eat you I promise." Clara just looked up at him and asked "Will you please take me back to my village but drop me off thirty yards away from it please. Jai smiled and nodded "but if Stan is right and no ones there to take care of you I will. Clara nodded in agreement.

Jai headed to the place he had found her at, and listened to her directions from there. "He wasn't lying about my eating creatures that aren't human you know...I do enjoy meat from chickens and cows." When she didn't answer him, he shifted uncomfortably. "I never claimed to be good at jokes." he said apologetically, but still she remained silent, head downcast, and blankly watching the ground pass below her. He stopped when she told him to and set her on the ground carefully, then sat on his knees, and waited.
To be sure she wasn't followed, Clara maneuvered through thicker areas of grass and took more hidden tunnels than necessary. Several minutes later, she exited a tunnel a few yards from the main, hidden one nestled between the roots of a tree and covered by a thick bush overhead. Her heart sank lower and lower with each step towards it. Around her were human foot prints, and those of several nezumi. Standing at the edge of the large tunnel, she could see it had been dug even wider, and the closer connecting tunnels had been collapsed. There was no sound from within, and looking at what was left of the sinking ceiling, she didn't know if she dared to venture any further.

Clara desperately Wanted to go in but if the ceiling collapses she could be trapped in there and Jai would never know. 10 mins later Clara returned to Jai Asking for his help "I found that mans foot prints. I need your help in case if something goes wrong." alright lead the way" after three minutes trecking of They came across the village. Setting Clara down Jai said "If anything happens scream and I'll help you." "Thank you." Clara said with a half smile. Going through the tunnel things kept getting quieter till she reached the village and what she saw caused her to collapse in shock and sorrow. "No it can't be It just she said. It was completely empty. With her ears and tail dropped she returned to see Jai with a concerned look on his face. Clara didn't say anything she just raised her arms wanting to be picked up. After Jai placed her in his breast pocket started he hearing loud sobs.

I can imagine it being hard to switch to that style... no outlines makes it really challenging and you did very, very well with that.
I like your usual style very much, too. But it is fun to try new things ^^
personally, I don't like to use dodge and burn so much... It always looks weird when I use them o.o but it looks like you have a good control of these tools.

Then they are looking for me for over 10 years now... they must be on an epic quest, fighting dragons and evil swarms of moths!
... but this also makes me sad... I always feel bad about beloved pieces of clothing that I have to give away because they don't fit anymore... they must all feel so alone T_T
show us this happiness! We all need to see it... if I knew Clara any better, I would try to draw something happy for her!
