I do aim for a comic once a month under ideal circumstances. Of course, stuff you don't expect always seems to delay production.

The next chapter is about 80% done and I'm hoping to release it before this coming Saturday.

Well, the council was formed by racial factor. The members could be elected, still, but we haven't seen any other representative of any other races... They sure didn't genocide alicorns and other, did they?

One thing I remember from FoE was the alicorns making their own way of life after someone used magic to give them another gender to reproduce. They said that they wouldn't fight back against ponies and the like anymore but I wouldn't expect the NCR to have the same attitude. Just have to wait and see.

Then NCR is stupid in this case. Who in their own mind will let almost allpowerful and deadly warriors go away? If you don't grab the advantage, someone else will and put you in a disadvantage.

The alicorns weren't generally liked from what I remembered. Allying themselves with redeye, and being one of the most dangerous enemies in the wasteland hasn't given them any room to join whatever faction they like. While yes there is power to have them, you have to remember they all have free will and possibly wouldn't be interested in fighting considering that's what they've been doing for the past 2 centuries.

Making your own people to tolerate them is not impossible. Propaganda, anyway, solved many things in control of masses. Society is all about 90% people being conformists and 10% being either antisocial or "progressive". After all, after Hitler's regime downfall, the majority of Germans instantly turned from nazis to "innocent people, tricked by Hitler and NSDAP".
I can't see why this is a big issue. Yes, alicorns will have to live in their own settlements or ghettos in better cases, but who said that those settlements coudn't be a part of NCR? And besides, if I recall correctly, some major part of them joined Followers of Apocalypse, but that is the least factor I will consider as important one.

All ponies have free will, so free will is not something that makes Alicorns unique in this case.

What I meant by the whole not wanting to fight is that they are sick of fighting and want to have a truce with pony kind. My memory of it is faint, but I remember that "not wanting to fight anymore" was because they got their own minds back. I don't see how that's guilt trapping but whatever.  

And while I do agree that they could be convinced that the alicorns are allies with propaganda, I don't think it would really work. I mean imagine if all of a sudden in the fallout games the NCR started pumping out propaganda that the supermutants are good now (I think that's what the alicorns were supposed to be). I feel it would be really hard to convince everyone and would be likely to not succeed. Also, one of the big things in the FoE universe is racism so I could see that being a factor working against that idea.

I do believe it's possible though, but that's something that I think pip would most likely do, not the NCR. Even with all the power that they could have. Judging by how they viewed Celestia and how they can't directly control her, I wouldn't be surprised if they considered exterminating the Alicorns before allying themselves with them. Or at the very least find a way to disarm them.

Pfft, first, you claim that some group of ponies are monsters, then you kill them, Velvet Remedy approves of killing monsters that look like ponies. Guilt trapping in this case is an additional motivation "we have done bad things, now we have to do good things!".

Fallout 2, there was one supermutant NCR Ranger. Plus, NCR have several little settlements of 20-50 supermutants here and there, mentioned in Fallout New Vegas.
You may not succeed in convincing people that they are nyan and stuff, but you can make your people to drop any thoughts of raiding those settlements just because of xenophobia.

I don't see where that comes from, you have read the story and know they didn't have their own free will? you know, forced to do the Goddesses' bidding and stuff. When she died, they were freed and said "Shit, we had done a lot of killing and probably won't be accepted back into our old homes. Lets go make a new one." I don't remember specifics on the scene but it wasn't a sudden change in judgment because shit happens or like in the tv show where the villan is good now because "friendship is magic"  . I wasn't guilt trapping anyone/thing.

Also I haven't played any of the games before fallout 3 so I didn't think anyone had super mutants in their power, on top of the fact that they generally aren't liked because you know...they kill people and stuff. I did say it's possible, it would just be hard. Also the games and the fic have varying differences in them, just because the game had one thing doesn't mean that the story would follow that path. I personally don't believe that the equestrian would like alicorns living with them considering their past. In a rumored village far away? sure, but if it's in close proximity then we might have a problem.


Talking of the racism, yes...they have griffons and can be racist. You know it's possible to be hateful towards one group and not another right? I mean look at steelhooves, he didn't have a problem with the griffons from what I could recall, just zebras. Hell I think they were an ally in the war with equestria. Also, dominated by griffions? How? Regina is the first griffon we have seen and is literally the only one we know of in the story so far; Her mother is yet to be introduced if still alive.

I truly believe that the NCR cold give two shits what homage and velvet think, the NCR is a powerful faction that has many people to protect. If the alicorns were to be a threat, they'd be dealt with reguardless of their opinion. If alicorns were to attack for whatever reason, there may not be room for diplomacy. Don't get me wrong, I'd root for them in trying to keep a war between the two from sparking. And yes they had power from them in the beginning, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of that meant nothing if IT were to hit the fan. The NCR is a powerful faction now, I'm sure they have other people to spread their propaganda or love or whatever I doubt they are held up entirely or mostly by two or three individuals. If they are then holy horse poop do they need to rethink the structure of their organization.

Speaking of Gawd, where is she? I hope she isn't dead, I mean yes it's been ten years but I don't think she was that old. Only explanation for death would be that she was killed. I mean why wouldn't she be in charge instead of her kid right?

My guess would be that Gawd stepped down for some reason, or pushed for Regina to take her seat on the council because she thought it would be either too much for her or to give Regina a push into leadership.  Either way Regina is obviously representing the Griffin Contingent on the council.

I don't know about that last part, but I agree with the first. I got a feeling this isn't really Regina's decision, but she doesn't want to go against the rest of Council. I imagine it's been hard to set up the NCR, work out how to make democratic elections work, incorporate the new non-Enclave controlled Pegasus government into the mix and set up diplomatic ties and get ponies on the ground even comfortable with them being part of the NCR Council, set up enough military presence to keep the peace and bite back and stray Enclave, Steelrangers, and Goddess acolytes, not to mention larger Raider bands, that might try to disrupt things, and basically keep things running smoothly. The NCR is still so young too. That's a lot of work to do in a very short period of time, and I'm sure they last thing Regina wants is infighting among the Council that could jeopardize all of that.

Now, with this chapter sorted out, I got a feeling I know the pony Velvet is talking about and it's obviously Calamity. But what I'm more curious about is how Fluttershy is going to react. In the epilogue it was mentioned that she met Pip once in the Tower, and it wasn't a pleasant experience to her because the Tower made her feel lonely, but I want to see them interact without the Tower being a barrier. I'm sure Pip has a lot of questions still, and Fluttershy would want to pass whatever knowledge she can onto her, and everypony else that asks of her.

Of all the Ministry Mares Fluttershy has both the saddest and worst storyline. Trapped to watch the world die and knowing its her fault. Whats worst is the last pony she saw before her treehood was Rarity who she watched dying in front of her. I think her sanity has to be tenuous at best.

The funny part is that we see that the NCR erected a statue to Littlepip in her honor. They remember her achievements. But the council considers her a relic of a bygone time here. It would be like George Washington showing up and todays Congress putting him in a old age home.
