I found this lil' bug on campus. Sadly, it must be an old timer because theyve got some wear on them.A study in red, all natural colors, nothing enhanced.

Great jod..it is very sharp and cause of the use of the flash you can see the tranlucent look of the wing shells and the black background. Wouldn't it be cool to get a ladybug in-flight shot with those wing-shells wide open and the wings fluttering ?
BTW, awesome depth of field. I'll bet you had that stopped all the way down with the flash on manual

Nice! I can't say much that you didn't already know when you posted the piece, but I absolutely LOVE the Yin/Tang feel caused by the negative space on the right.

Wow. I love the really strong colours in this piece, and the fact that neither the leaf nor the ladybird are completely perfect. I think it really symbolises Autumn - in that while nature's physical condition is beinging to deteriorate, there is still beauty everywhere.

This shot is interesting. I really like the colors that enhanced from the creature and it is quite nice how you were able to catch him in this position. He almost seems scared, and his eyes (assuming those are his eyes; I've never seen a thing such as this except for maybe once on the beach at PC, which was a while ago) are rich in detail and foriegn. It's what makes this creature seem feared by all since he dosen't have the 'normal' eyes. The ironic thing is once again the colors. The eyes and body are basked in warm red hues that really defy the creature's 'evil' features... I love how you were able to get so close to get a shot of his detailed skin as well.. This is completely beautiful and amazing.
I hope you take more pictures... Your work will be missed. And best of luck on finals!

Great shot! I like how the lil' guy looks like he just got in a brawl of some sort.
The lucidity is wondrous & the colour is warm...vibrant...blah blah blah...all the good stuff you know already. Composition is Grade A in where the leaf is not shown completely but that one tip is allowed. It almost appears as the ladybug & the leaf have shared many moons together because they both look like they've been through the same trials & tribulations.

Yowza!!!! The thumnail is decieving- drawing you in- but man- it just is NOTHING compared to the close-up!!! This is an incredible macro. What a find. Beautiful play with compostition, color, contrast and detail. One of my favorite parts, I must say- is the indirect delicate warm lighting. So well done, and congrats on DD!!!
