Description
I decided the best way to celebrate my birthday was to chill in the garden with my camera (that's when you know your getting old), it's a small garden so not a lot happened but I caught this little fellow getting on with his day.Related content

Hehehehe... I love the author's comment.. That is how you know you're getting old, isn't it?
Btw, do you know how bees gather their pollen?

I may be wrong but I think they gather it in the hairs and then move it to pollen sacks so they can gather more without returning to the nest. I saw something along those lines on an Attenborough Documentary a few years back (that's another way you know you're getting old lol)

Yeah, I think that's the right answer too (I'd be a fool to argue with Attenborough ). Though the explanation I had in mind has more of a physics approach to it and goes something like this;
The bee has a negative charge and thus attracts the positively charged pollen like a magnet. It doesn't have to do anything except get close to the flower, when it does, electromagnetic attraction will do the work for it.

ahh yeah that rings a bell, I was thinking it had something to do with static charges but wasn't 100% so omitted that part of the answer lol

It's the kind of thing that really fascinates me.
