Description
We keep getting breaks in the showers, obviously or it'd be rain not showers i guess, anyhow I nipped out to take this. It's a HDR from 1 shot taken in RAW format then copied into seven identical files and exposure adjusted by a 1/2 step from -1.5 to +1.5 EV in view nx. Then I used photoshop to generate the HDR. Once the hdr was generated I applied a little tone mapping to the highlights and Shadow's only so as not to alter any of the natural colour.

Hello. I hope you don't mind my asking, but what plugin did you use to do the tone mapping? Gorgeous image by the way!

This is really breathtaking. I'm really starting to dig your pictures. You capture some very nice nature shots in macro...(at least I think this is macro, I'm not too savvy with the photography terms, haha.) The water droplets are absolutely wonderful, the way they reflect the light, and they look so fresh at that, really showcasing the fact that you took this in the midst of a storm/rain. But, my favorite thing about it is the water drops on the stem, right before it touches the flower petals themselves. It really shows the grain of the stem itself beautifully and it's just an unusual and nice detail you don't usually see. Good Job.

thankyou so much I'm not sure if qualifies as true macro tbh or if it's just close up photography but I like doing it lol

your starting to sound like a pro xD hope i will be abel to keep up with your photo terms from here on xD i always wanted to work with raw photos but my phone obviously cant handle such IF i invest in a proper camera i will make sure it can take RAW) :3 i like how clear the waterdrops look. im not sure but the photo might have looked even more spectaculair without the folwer in the background. and sense we are down to such small things to improve on now ;D also try not to cut the flower if there just half a cm missing

Lol I still have sooooo much to learn there's a couple of techniques I have down now but still have to figure everything else out. I have a shot from the other side of the flower without the second one in it but I thought it didn't look as good, the out of focus flower almost mirrored the first one in it's positioning so was a nice way to break up some of the huge empty dark space, I'll do some work on it and upload it. I actually didn't mean to cut off the bottom of the flower (so clearly still far from pro ) but was gambling on my viewfinder only displaying 95% of the actual shot and undercooked it a touch

Try "Photomatix Pro" nest time to generate the HDR, you will be blown away by its effectiveness
And if you want I'd sure like to do some post processing for you.
