Thanks a lot for your comments.
The light was wonderful in there, really warm and giving everything a wonderful glow.

I've shot a lot of stained glassed and it's *really* tricky to get right. You did a very good job in showing both the glass and the architecture

Thanks a lot Obs.
The orientation of the chapel in relation to the sun helped as far as the stained glass was concerned, as it gives a relatively flat light palette.
I love working with this sort of framing, there's something about the ALMOST perfectly symmetrical (mirror image) shot which absolutely fascinates me.

Wonderful. It was the amazing carved gargoyle type figures that got me.

So many different colours... a great capture of the architetcture, but with that many colours in the windows it makes me want more. I need more detail, more depth, more zoom...
BUT it's so pretty and so surreal the way it is that I wouldn't change what you did at all.

It took some careful framing (and about half a dozen failed attempts) to get it looking just right.
Sadly, when I atempted to take close ups of the windows themselves, I could never get them looking right. The age of the glass has blurred the detail a little, and the strange lighting caused all sorts of metering issues when close in.
Many thanks for your kind words, it is greatly appreciated.
