No one in warm springs is quite able to determine how exactly this discomforting little specter achieved such a form. It was nothing Kota authorized for sure. Now, the formerly weak and small creature is a very regal creature in a strong body with a will twice stronger. He is intelligent at least, that much is clear, but he can only be staved off with violent force instead of trickery and manipulation. Also, He still seems to be intent on following the young or weak though thusfar nothing ill-willed has come of this nor have many noticed his presence.
It is also noted that he has a distinct skill at communicating with others, the issue is that it is rare. Being the prideful pokemon he is he will not waste words on anyone he does not like or consider on par with himself. His tastes are also complex, and a little opulent. He prefers the finer things in life, though this isn't exactly attainable in his current living situation.
One interesting feature about this pokemon is that he is a Sawsbuck in perpetual Summer forme. where his leafy canopy should be there are instead dark, noxious auras resembling the shape of what might've been. The Erlking will often take leaves from all kinds of trees to be suspended in this aura. In the end however, the leaves always distort, decay, and fall. This is likely to blame on the combination for his fused dark type clashing with his pre-existing ghost typing. Erlking may sometimes steal enough leaves and rub the bark of a tree through with his antlers and accidentally kill the plant.
also. Although he is capable via evolution stone, he does not wish to evolve into a Trevenat. This may change, but for my current story purposes he considers himself fully evolved.

Funnily enough the moment I saw his name I had a feeling where the name come from <3 I studied that poem in my music appreciation class almost 5 years ago as it was preformed as a mini opera (Suddenly blanked on what it was technically called). Ahh but so much love for this guy
