Description ...but you do it anyway.

When I heard the death toll went over 1000, i BSOD'd a little.

This picture wouldn't leave my head, so here i am at midnight, OTL. I'm not trying to offend anyone, in any way. This is just my way of expressing my grief for the victims and sympathy for their families.

Thoughts are overseas.

Please donate.

The earthquake happened on my birthday... And as someone who has favored Japanese culture and its people I was devastated...

Honey... the expected death toll is 10000, not 1000. :[
Before writing this, I noticed that most people who already commented expressed their willingness to donate and lack of funds to do so with. Let me remind you as well that you are also broke. (XP) I'm therefore donating twice as much instead. We can say that it's from you and all of your watchers. <3

Mother Nature needs to get her act together. :S Did you hear that the earth's axis of rotation shifted by about 10 cm because of this?

Thoughts are with everyone over there, everyone who's lost their life, the life of someone important to them, their livelihood, or had anything similar happen to them. :[ No one deserves this.

That being said, I am so proud of Japan for having the excellent tsunami/earthquake response system that it does. Relief and aid efforts have been going really well from what I've heard, just because they were so darn prepared, so that's at least something.

(I know I shouldn't be leaving comments like this on such a heavy piece, but from an art perspective, this is really good, especially for something you just whipped up in 40 minutes or so. <3 I love the colour palette, and poor Japan looks so realistically beat up (T_T)... Kudos for using your awesome artistic skills to be socially responsible. This is such an impactful image. o.o)

Well, I would donate, (Hell, if I was older I'd volunteer to help like a shot.) but I have no money to actually donate.
The people who can't contribute financially often do so spiritually.
I'll ask at school if they have any plans to donate. (<- Has class notorious for fundraising.)

At first I thought of some chapters in KHR. Then I read your comment. :'/

I just imagine if that earthquake and Tsunami had hit anywhere else in the world, it would've been so much worse. The Japanese were probably the most prepared for the earthquake, but the Tsunami is another story. (And I honestly believe the Tsunami did the most damage.)

I would donate, sadly though, I'm broke. :'/

So sorry to threadjack like this, but I just wanted to let you know that you're completely right. Japan has an incredibly thorough earthquake/tsunami response system, just because they've had them so often in their history. It's true that the devastation that this incident has caused is horrible, but it's also true that it could have been much, much worse, and would have been much worse if it had happened, say, here. :/ So kudos to Japan for being alert and responding quickly and efficiently. I'm donating a bit to the relief efforts, so let's just say that it's from everyone I know who wishes that they could donate but lacks the money. <3

(I also wanted to say that "At first I thought about KHR but then I realized what you actually meant" could be the beginning of every single one of my paragraphs ever. XP)

Exactly. I did a project on the 1995 Kobe earthquake, and that was horrible due to the way things were constructed, which were not able to stand up to an earthquake like that. (The houses there and then had heavey roofs to protect the people from Typhoons, but they were many peoples' death bed during that earthquake.) So when it comes to earthquakes, Japan's fine. But the Tsunami... Urgh.
And thanks for donating. :3

lmao. Actually, thanks to my reading and replying to your KHR fangirling comments/replies, I had a dream that very night that my hair was magically standing up like Tsuna's and my friend and I were sewing a paper flame to my hair. O,o Then I was doing sexy poses. :3

Seeing as how I don't watch this it took me a minute to figure out who the characters were, and then I went "Oh.." and I thought, and now I can't stop staring.

This picture truly brings out so many deep emotions and touches me, and I know the cause behind it is one of terrible distress in Japan and it brings me to tears. Praying isn't enough, but there's so many other places in the world in trouble alongside Japan and the only thing we unfortunately can do is donate.

The world isn't ending, although it feels like it. But we'll put it back together again, and bless those over 1000 people who are now gone. Although there are more to join them, I can only hope it won't be many..

Even scrolling back up to switch the page to my messages I look at it again and my heart just breaks. It's one of those things that are absolutely beautiful, yet distressing and brings tears to your eyes.
