aaaaa i've wanted to make some color schemes for a long time, i like to think that i have a pretty good sense of color, so here are some colorful little sets <33
feel free to use as long as you credit back to me!! and i guess you can use them without credit if you really want, i'm not stopping you
sorry that they're so blurry, i resized them a lot

as you can probably tell, although i don't express it that often, i'm a sucker for pastels ;D;
and i also love lavender colors with warm gray, cool gray, and i r eally love blue and how pretty it looks when it's blended into green or purple!!
i also have a real soft spot for peach colors mixed with cream and pink

if you want a couple tips? just think of some colors that go well together and base your scheme around one specific color, don't include orange, purple, green, and blue in the same scheme, you can throw one unrelated color in, it might be better if you do, but make sure it still goes with the rest of the palette, mess with it until it does
and while jet black's obviously a no-no for almost anyone because of lineart reasons, pure white is also pretty deterring to me, you can always set the value to 250 instead of 255 or slide the saturation to 10
or both, it's a subtle difference, but it'll look a lot better
also, never, ever, set your saturation all the way to 255, there's absolutely no excuse for it
the only case in which it could ever be acceptable is in eyes, and it will look horrible if you try to set the value down, the neon is a little better of a choice for eyes than dark neon, the darker you go, the further down your saturation should go to match up with the rest of your shades
i can't stress the saturation point enough, here's the schemes with the saturation set to 255, which one do you prefer, which one makes your eyes bleed

i know that i've broken the rules i just said myself,, but that's mostly with my older ocs (i break like all of them with swift and swyft,,
but i like to think that the colors contrast enough to set up a good enough feel, the grays are enough on the opposite end of the spectrum that the saturation of the eyes and scarf just naturally blends in

they're exceptions though, i've already modified speckles and soryn's eyes to not be at 255, although you can't tell in their references yet, but when i eventually draw them again, please colorpick from them instead of their references for now X'D
teku is sort of supposed to be neon, but i don't like her so it doesn't matter
she's been kicked off my main pedastal

if you want more information, i might make a journal or tutorial about it!! because coloring is my second favorite part of art after lineart, well, thinking of the colors i'll be setting down is, colorpicking is a little tedious
