Description
Just a preview for a TL I'm working on about a different Reconquista where it ends in a stalemate. The Christian states wouldn't unify until this TL's equivalent of the Age of Revolution, when the ideology of Ispanismo (a political idea which soughts to unify the Iberian peoples) spread across them, leading in time to their unification in the Community of Spain. The vertical stripes represent each of the peoples of Ispania (blue for the Portuguese, purple for the Leonese, yellow for the Castillians, green for the Basques, brown for the Aragonese and red for the Catalans), while the horizontal stripe represents Ispania as a whole, as well as the Duero and Ebro rivers.Al-Andalus, on the other hand, remained more or less united from the end of the Middle Ages to the modern day, though like its northern neighbors it too suffered the revolutionary turmoil. The resultant First Republic was far more nationalistic than the diverse Ispania, adopting the motto of the old and glorious Yahsubid Caliphate ("only God is the victor") as well as the Rub el Hizb, which had become the most representative symbol of al-Andalus after its employment in war banners from the 16th century onwards.

Yo el único fallo que le veo es que los dos azules se solapan demasiado... tal vez si el azul portugués fuera más claro o apagado... pero la idea incluso así me gusta
