interesting lighting
i dont know if it works for this particular subject...
i feel as if the cat needs to be lit more, perhaps try using a reflector?
keep up the lighting practice though!

Thanks ... it was actually spontaneous. My cat had sought out the one spot in my room that was being flooded by sunlight and passed out there. I loved the composition and the light, so I grabbed my camera and ... voila!
But thanks for the feedback, much appreciated

you're welcome!
keep up the lighting practice!
tip: buy a couple sheets of foam core to illuminate your subject
its cheap, easy, and light

lol yeah, foamcore is quite awesome actually
better than posterboard (less floppy)
cheaper than the high end reflectors
and it comes in a varitey of colors
and may i suggest, exact-o knife? (for cutting foamcore)

Exact-o still sucks for cutting. We have to foamcore mount stuff for my degree, and it is a royal pain to cut straight ... goes straight for the first half, then gets totally screwed for the second! Grrr! But for sure the exact-o works way better than anything else

well, you could just cut it using a ruler and pressing your knife against it.....
that always works
